Dreamwork's animated comedy 'Kung Fu Panda' topped the weekend box office, beating out Adam Sandler's 'You Don't Mess with the Zohan.'
The two combined to take in $100 million in their debut weekend, with Jack Black's cartoon martial artist raking in $60 million to Sandler's $40 million.
It is Sandler's fifth biggest opening. Meanwhile, 'Kung Fu Panda' has a shot at taking over eighth place on the list of all-time animation openers. Stats at Box Office Mojo show 'Cars' as the current No. 8.
Last week's number one, 'Sex and the City: The Movie,' took a nosedive but still brought in $21.3 million in ticket sales.
'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' continues to have legs, taking in $22.8 million this weekend, for a total of $253 for the three weeks it has been in theaters.
