Polyvore and Tagged by Dizzy and L!nL!n! :)

Today is the last day of August! Crazzzyyy! Today was also my first day of school. It went well - my teacher is nice and cool, my classmates are a good bunch too - I'm excited to meet new friends! I forgot to take a picture of what I wore today (tsk tsk, Mimi!), so I thought I'd just make a Polyvore that looks somewhat like my outfit. It wasn't too hot today so it was okay to wear black, and the sleeves were okay too. But I chose to wear shorts because jeans would just be way too hot. I wore my white watch that looks somewhat like that (but is more affordable!). To add a pop of color, I wore my yellow sandals and yellow bracelet. My black bag was just the right size - big enough to fit my notebook and other stuff, but small enough that it's easy to carry around. I also love how it looks somewhat like that lovely Miu Miu bag. :D

What is your ideal first day outfit?

I was also tagged by Dizzy and L!nL!n! Thanks to you both! :D
These questions are from Dizzy:

1 --- What’s your favorite song? And why? - I really don't have one particular favorite song... right now though, Enrique Iglesias' Like It is stuck in my head because it's the last song I heard.

2 --- Would you rather be the last person alive on earth or would you rather be stuck with the last person alive, which happens to be Prince? - Hahaha, this made me laugh, why can't the last person be someone cute? Haha, I guess I'll just pick being stuck with Prince - at least I won't be alone.

3 --- What’s your most prized possession? And why? - I wouldn't say it's my most prized possession because there are more important things out there, but it's definitely very very important to me (oh, okay fine, I guess I can say it is my most prized possession) - my Louis Vuitton Speedy bag because my parents gave it to me for my 18th birthday, and I would never trade it even for a newer LV.

4 --- If you can have one super power, what would it be? And why? - I would pick being able to turn back time. Imagine how many mistakes, accidents, and tragedies we can stop or prevent if we can turn back time?!

5 --- Would you rather be stuck in a room with Richard Simmons or would you rather be stuck in a room with Adolf Hitler? - Hmmmm, I guess I'd go with Richard Simmons.

6 --- What were you doing the last time you really had a good laugh? - I remember my sister said something really funny.

7 --- If you can go back in time? Where would you go? And why? - Oh my gosh, this is connected to my answer for #4... hmmm, I really don't know, there are so many things that I want to go back to...

8 --- MAC or PC? - I really don't mind - either one as long as the internet connection is excellent.

Thanks for this, Dizzy! :D

If you're anything like me you adore getting "real" mail. I can't wait for Christmas time when people send actual cards and I've been so excited to participate in Melissa's Dear Darlings Pen Pal Project. There is something great about getting out my stationary and actually writing--longhand!--to someone else. Of course, half the joy of sending mail are the pretty papers you can use to write on and one company with some gorgeous options to choose from is Sweetgrass Prints. Katy from Sweetgrass shares my love of paper. Creating cards since she was a child, when she was working with construction paper and crayons, Katy agrees that getting real mail (that isn't a bill) is a great thing and she's on a mission to bring snail mail back into vogue.

There are customized note cards that you can personalize with your monogram...

...or ones with fun designs...

...and great products like these customizable recipe cards.

Deepika Padukone Ex-BoyFriend in a film!

Deepika Padukone Ex BoyFriend Nihar Pandya In A Film: Himesh Reshammiya's estranged friend, Prashant Chadha, is directing Rome The Real Dope On Romeo starring Deepika Padukone's ex-boyfriend, Nihar Pandya. The interesting bit about the flick is that certain scenes have been inspired from Nihar's real-life break-up.

deepika padukone hot bollywood actress pictures301810

Says a source connected to the film, "The hero's first scene starts with a monologue in front of the mirror where he talks about worshipping his girlfriend for four years and then, being dumped unceremoniously in favour of a more successful man. He then starts his search for a famous lover, Romeo."

Prashant says, "The film is about the journey of a rich young man who gets dumped by his girlfriend. He then starts his journey from Rome through Italy in search of Romeo who is a successful lover, while he couldn't be. I will be casting a known actress from B-Town and a foreign actress."

Prashant admits that Rome has been inspired from Nihar's real life. "Nihar's first scene depicts his state after he is jilted. Though people have tagged Nihar as a Casanova, it's not true.

Rome will show the truth of what happened. My ideal cast for Nihar's character's ex-girlfriend in Rome would be Deepika herself, though I am yet to approach her. Nihar knows what the story and screenplay are and he's comfortable playing a large portion of his real life on screen."Prashant is also directing an untitled film with Sachin Joshi and Candice Boucher.

Soha Ali Khan meets Salman secretly!

World renowned author Salman Rushdie, who has been rated tenth in the category of the fifty greatest British writers since 1945, recently visited Mumbai to meet Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan. According to reports, the actress plays a prominent part in the international movie adaptation of his famous novel ‘Midnight’s Children’.

Soha-Ali-Khan

Bollywood beauty Soha Ali Khan could not have asked for more in terms of first hand narration by the esteemed author Salman Rushdie. Soha’s excitement knew no bonds when she met the Booker Prize winner Salman Rushdie, on whose novel a film is being made by ace filmmaker Deepa Mehta.

Talking to a news daily, a highly placed industry source reveals, “Salman and Soha bonded big. The author is delighted that Soha is on board and travelled down to meet her and discuss the novel, it cinematic adaptation and Soha’s character Salman is always kept in the loop by Deepa as she understands that he will be excited to know everything. The novel is one of his best works and he would want to see everything in order before cameras roll”.

When contacted, “Soha confirms, “I did not meet him and thoroughly enjoyed his company. It is a pleasure to discuss things with him and know his perspectives. I have been a huge Rushdie fan and ‘Midnight’s Children’ is one of my favourite books”.

His writing style, she says, has this magic realism and element of fantasy that is wonderful. She aads, “I love that he is sometimes so irreverent about things”.

Salman Khan gave a bulk order of pizzas!

When Bollywood star Salman Khan went to the sets of Zee TV’s “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar“, he could not help but order his favourite Jain pizza from H.aji Ali. But the actor went overboard and gave a bulk order of 150 pizzas.

Salman-Khan-011808

Says a source from the sets, “Salman proved that he believes in sharing and caring as he ordered pizzas not just for the participants but also for the audience watching the shoot”. He didnot even let the channel officials pay the bill and said: “This is on me”.

He even threatened to leave the sets if the team of the reality show didnot allow him to pay the bill. The actor, awaiting the release of his movie “Dabangg“, will be seen on the show Saturday.

2010 Emmy Awards Fashion

I only got to watch portions of the red carpet Emmy pre-show, and none of the actual awards, but I have to say I was kind of underwhelmed by what I did see. Few dresses stand out for me except for this yellow Carolina Herrera on sexy Sofia Vergara. Talk about hugging every curve perfectly.

I liked Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta. Still not feeling the bangs. Loved the statement necklace.

I didn't see Claire Danes' dress live, but it seems to be pretty.
Question is, is she the right colour?

I like that Heidi does short for a lot of awards shows, with legs like her's it would be a crime not to. Still, I wonder how she sits in this Marchesa. Reminds me of that blue one Anne Hathaway wore awhile back. And, look, another ginoromous necklace.

I heard a lot about how great Kim K looked in Marchesa. She's pretty, sure, but I'm not blown away. And then there was Rose Byrne in something oh-so-similar...

I'm feeling the bodice of Nina's gown more than the bottom.

I like this colour. Her hair is huge.

Eva is cute, safe, boring in Robert Rodriguez.

Another Lady in Black. Kelly looks great, now she needs to fix the hair colour.

Purple Posse

Jane Lynch (sporting the asymmetrical look that was so popular), Emily Deschanel and Kyra Sedgewick in a Monique Lhuillier, which I think is purple but may be reddish.

Lots of Sparkles

All attractive enough and I love sequins as much as the next girl (okay, truth, probably more), but I feel like I've seen it before. Over and over. Connie Britton did shiny, too. Susan Sarandon looks great, but who shrank Juliana Marguiles?

Ruffled Tiers

I don't know what to make of this wedding gown-meets-Little Bo Peep look (Diana Argon in Herrera and Jewel in Zuhair Murad). Crazy thing is I don't even know if I hate it. I kind of don't. Thoughts?

So, on to the bad...

What up, Lo? You know I love you and I see what you were trying to do here, going for the Mad Men, pencil-skirted look, but it's all a little too Tippi Hedren in The Birds considering that your hair looks like an actual bird's nest. I call shenanigans. Lo's too smart to go out in public looking like this, what gives?

January, you're not a fish and you're not Madonna. Please leave the scales and cones at home next time (I know they're supposed to be peacock feathers, but they look like scales to me). I don't care if it's Versace (and a pretty colour). Oh, and grab a brush on your way out the door next time, will you? Thanks.

I often find myself wanting to like Anna Paquin, but...I got nothing. I heard this McQueen likened to a matador's uniform. I'm thinking more Roman centurion.

The hair, the skin, the neckline--Kate does know she's not on DWTS anymore?

I heart you, Tina Fey, but how do you always manage to do this to yourself?

Really?

What were your thoughts on the red carpet looks?
What did you think of Nate?
Stay tuned for a great giveaway later today!

Shopping: Camarillo Premium Outlets

Hi, everyone! I hope we all had a relaxing weekend. We have another week ahead of us - many are now coming back to school or are finally getting into the swing of things. I also have to tell you that these past few days, there is a definite chill in the air! I love it especially because I've been complaining about the intense heat (haha!), but it is also a reminder that summer is indeed coming to an end. Well, at least, we have Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas to look forward to, right?

Anyways, on my last post I told you guys that I went to the Camarillo outlets. We were only able to check out four stores - Ann Taylor, J.Crew, Oakley, and Guess. I have pictures to share! :D

I love the color of this top!

I thought I'd take a picture of these office attires for my fellow bloggers who need to wear clothes like these for work. :)

Photobucket

They have a 40% off sale.

That's what I love about shopping at outlets: they have a ton of clothes on sale even if their prices are already lower than mall prices, and they have a lot of items available. :)

The print and color of this maxi dress caught my eye. Sorry about the quality of these photos, I had to turn the flash off. ;)

Pretty accessories!

I love these earrings!

I love this outfit! I will definitely make a Polyvore outfit inspired by this! :D

Isn't this a lovely selection of stores? Coach, J.Crew, and The Cosmetics Company Store.

I am beginning to love J.Crew! I've never really bought anything from there, but thanks to my fellow bloggers who love to share their favorites from that store, I've learned to love it too. :D

It's not exactly like the Michael Kors watch we all love, but it's cute too, plus you can change the band. I think it's the perfect gift for teenagers, or possibly college students as well.
