Bad Girl Rapper Gets Busted
Rap songstress Lil Kim was caught last night driving her Lamborghini around the neighborhood without tags or a valid driver's license. As she was going to get some gas, cops saw the car and detained Kim, until her lawyer was able to come pick her up and drive the car home. It is not known at this time whether or not Kim will be charged for driving without a license.

Is Britney abusing her kids?
Popular website TMZ.com has reported that the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services is conducting an investigation into allegations that Britney Spears has abused her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
In other Britney news, lawyers for the singer and ex Kevin Federline had an unscheduled hearing Monday morning regarding custody of the kids. Dennis Wasser, the father of Spears's attorney Laura Wasser, reportedly asked for a continuance in the custody battle, but it is unknown if the request was granted. Another hearing has been scheduled for September 17.
Finally, Spears was pulled over in L.A. this weekend for speeding, but got off with a warning after she told police she was trying to avoid the paparazzi who were tailing her.
Owen Wilson suicide attempt
Owen Wilson was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Sunday due to a purported suicide attempt.
Santa Monica police officers arrived at Wilson's Santa Monica home just after noon on Sunday after receiving a "medical assistance call." He was transported and is being treated at the hospital.
A hospital spokesperson told Extra on Monday that Wilson is in "good condition."
Later reports indicate that brother Andrew found Wilson after he slit his wrists and overdosed on pills, then called 911. Wilson's parents and two brothers, Andrew and Luke, were seen at the hospital. They have not verified that Wilson is being treated for a suicide attempt.
Wilson later released a statement saying, "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time."
Wilson's latest movie, The Darjeeling Limited, is due in theaters this fall. He had just split from actress Kate Hudson, who is now in a relationship with Dax Shepard.
Party girls in pinstripes
You know something's wrong with the justice system when Paris Hilton serves 23 days in jail for driving on a suspended license, but Lindsay Lohan is only sentenced to 1 day for DUI and drug charges.
Not to be outdone, though, is Nicole Richie, who was sentenced to 90 hours for driving under the influence of drugs but was in and out in 82 minutes. The pregnant celebutante checked into a jail in Lynwood County, Calif. (the same place Hilton served her time) at 3:15 Thursday afternoon, and she was released by 4:37. In a statement, the sheriff's department noted that those charged with 30 days or fewer for nonviolent crimes are usually released in 12 hours due to overcrowding. There was no explanation as to why Richie didn't even stay that long.
A few hours before Richie's big house stopover, Lindsay Lohan reached a plea deal for her 7 misdemeanor charges stemming from her 2 driving incidents. Lohan will serve 1 day in jail, do 10 days of community service, complete a drug treatment program, an 18-month alcohol education program, pay a hefty fine and participate in a 3-day coroner program where she'll visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunk drivers.
Lohan has until January 18, 2008 to complete the terms of her plea bargain, and if she violates her probation, she could face up to a year in jail for each DUI and cocaine charge, as well as 90 days for reckless driving. If she receives another DUI, she will be required to serve 120 days in prison.
In a statement released by publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik, Lohan said she was ashamed of her actions. "I broke the law and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case."
She blamed her actions on her addictions, for which she is being treated at Cirque Lodge in Utah - which will satisfy her plea bargain's mandatory completion of a drug treatment program. "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs," Lohan admitted in the statement.
"I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life," she added. "Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle, and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so."
There's no word yet on when she will serve her prison sentence, but based on Nicole Richie's actual jail time, she'll probably show up and leave in 20 minutes.
Linds charged with 7 misdemeanors
Lindsay Lohan was charged with seven misdemeanors on Thursday stemming from a pair of traffic incidents from earlier in the summer.
She avoided felony charges of drug possession because tests indicated less than the necessary .05 grams of cocaine to warrant them.
Lohan was charged with two counts each of DUI, driving with a blood-alcohol level above .08 percent and being under the influence of cocaine, as well as one count of reckless driving.
In California, one DUI can result in a maximum 6 month prison stay and a $1,000 fine, and a second DUI could lead to up to a year in jail. She faced up to three years if she had been charged and convicted of drug possession.
It's hard to tell how much time, if any, Lohan will serve. Paris Hilton recently spent 23 days in jail after driving on a suspended license when on probation for an alcohol-related reckless driving charge, whereas Nicole Richie was only ordered to 4 days in prison for a DUI, to be completed by the end of September.
But Lohan also faces lawsuits from the second accident, in which she allegedly hijacked an occupied car in order to follow her former assistant in a high-speed chase. A passenger in the assistent's car sued for assault and negligence.

Baby News!
Actress Bridget Moynahan gave birth to a healthy baby boy today in Los Angeles! Moynahan has starred in films like I, Robot and Gray Matters. The father of the new baby, New England Quarterback, Tom Brady is Moynahan's ex. Brady was said to have been in the hospital at the time of birth. Nothing has been confirmed yet! The twosome split in December 2006 after three years of dating. Brady is currently dating Brazilian Victoria's Secret model Gisele Bundchen. This man has good luck dating gorgeous women, huh?
Zac Efron : Hollywood's New Teen Heartthrob!
Make way for the new teen hunk being found on every magazine cover and young girls' wall! Zac Efron seems to be the new Tom Cruise these days (well, the younger version)! The nineteen-year-old recently celebrated his successful role as Link Larkin in the box office hit Hairspray but struck big again in the RECORD BREAKING made-for-tv movie, High School Musical 2. Efron is also rumored to be in talks with execs to star in the remake of 1984's Footloose. Wow!
In addition to blossoming on the big screen and skyrocketing into celeb status, Zac's off-screen relationship with High School Musical co-star, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, has generated the name Zanessa. Since taking their relationship public, the lovebirds have been followed by the paps all over Hollywood. Things are definitely heating up for the singing duo!
Will Linds get off easy?
According to TMZ.com, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office may not charge Lindsay for three drug-related felonies in connection with her two recent arrests for drunk driving.
Two unidentified law enforcement sources told the popular website that Lohan will probably only be charged with two misdemeanor DUIs. She will face a minimum of four days of jail time if found guilty of both, whereas with the felony convictions she would have served up to three years.
"A public discussion of potential charges prior to a case being filed would be inappropriate and potentially unethical," district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said in response to queries. She noted that the DA's office has only received the first case, when Lohan crashed her car and fled the scene to go to the hospital in Beverly Hills this May. A "usable amount" of cocaine was found in her car. The office is still reportedly awaiting the case involving the Santa Monica drunken car chase that occurred in July, resulting in charges of cocaine possession, bringing a controlled substance into custody and driving on a suspended license. She was arrested for DUIs in both instances.
Extras injured on Tom Cruise's shoot
Eleven extras were injured Sunday evening on the set of Tom Cruise's latest film Valkyrie, a WWII movie about the most famous German assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler.
Police reported that the extras fell off a truck after a bolt came loose on the side panel during shooting scenes around the Finance Ministry in Berlin.
United Artists said that 10 of the extras required medical attention, and they claimed the truck was traveling less than 10 mph.
"No one suffered anything more serious than cuts and bruises, though one of the extras was kept in the hospital overnight for observation," United Artists representatives said in a statement.
Tom Cruise and the film director were not there at the time, and the accident will have no effect on the production schedule.
J.K. Rowling back at it?
Here's possible good news for those going through Harry Potter withdrawal:
Author J.K. Rowling has been spotted writing a detective novel in cafes in Scotland, according to one British newspaper. Rowling famously worked on the beloved Harry Potter books in Edinburgh cafes to save on heating bills before the series took off and she became an international phenomenon.
Rowling confirmed she plans to continue writing in an interview with the Associated Press last month.
"I'll do exactly what I did with Harry - I'll write what I really want to write," Rowling said.
No word yet on if these rumors have been substantiated and if/when eager readers can expect a new book.
Brit vs. K-Fed: Round 2
Not long after issuing a deposition subpoena to Britney Spears' friend Alli Sims, Kevin Federline's team of lawyers is at it again. This Saturday K-Fed's hard-hitting attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, served a subpoena to Promises, the rehab facility where Spears spent time earlier in the year.
Spears' former assistant Shannon Funk and her former bodyguard Daimon Shippen were also served papers this week in Federline's quest to gain sole custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Jay-Z Hip-Hop's Top Cash King
Forbes' new list of Hip-Hop Cash Kings has Jay-Z at the top for 2006. And the results were reportedly tallied before the music mogul sold his Rocawear fashion label for $204 million.
Sean "Jay-Z" Carter, the CEO of Def Jam Recordings, made $34 million from his 11th album, Kingdom Come. He also racked up the Benjamins from his 40/40 Club sports-bar franchise, as well as numerous endorsements and a small stake in the New Jersey Nets.
Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, came in second place despite not releasing an album last year. His estimated 2006 earnings were $32 million and the result of several ventures, including his G-unit label, clothing line and videogames.
Sean "Diddy" Combs came in third place with earnings of $28 million from his Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group, although his reps told Forbes magazine the number is actually higher.
Fourth through sixth place were producer and rapper Timbaland, Dr. Dre and Eminem.
Amy Winehouse Says " Yes" to rehab
British singer Amy Winehouse has reportedly checked into a rehab facility in England. Her publicist claims that the Ms. Winehouse needs to take care of some health related issues and would appreciate her privacy at this time. All of her touring commitments are put on hold for the time being.
But wait, as reported on TMZ.com Winehouse only completed 48 hours in rehab and was released by helicopter to go to London to receive a brain scan and of course bar hop.
Brit tells sons they were mistakes!
She's obviously no mom of the year, but Star Magazine has written an upcoming exposé about some of Britney Spears' more shocking parenting moves. Apparently three of the singer's former employees spilled the beans about Brit's less than stellar tricks.
These include giving Sean Preston and Jayden James caffeinated drinks, including coffee, letting them sit in soiled diapers until someone else changes them and keeping them up late so they will sleep in later in the morning.
One source even told Star Spears tried to whiten Sean's teeth with Crest Whitestrips! After he kept crying, Spears' threw the strips away and told him, "Fine, you'll just have ugly teeth then!"
The most damning revelation has to be this one from the unnamed source:
"When Britney is upset, she yells and screams at the boys and once told them, 'You were both mistakes!' She's called them 'burdens, a pain in the ass and the reason (your) father left,'" claims the source.
So is it any wonder that ex Kevin Federline is seeking primary custody of the boys? I never thought I'd say it, but Team Federline!
WWE wrestler Crush found dead
Former World Wrestling Entertainment star Brian Adams, who went by the name of Crush, was found dead today.
According to sources, his wife found him unconscious in bed and not breathing and called 911.
The Tampa Police Department stated they were unable to revive the wrestler and his cause of death has yet to be determined. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
Crush was known for being a part of Demolition with fellow wrestlers Ax & Smash in the early 90s. He suffered a career-ending spinal injury in January 2003.
His death comes on the heels of that of WWE's Chris Benoit, who killed his wife and their son before committing suicide June 24.
Time's run out for TV mogul Merv Griffin
Entertainer and former TV talk-show and game-show host Merv Griffin passed away on Sunday at the age of 82.
He had apparently been suffering from prostate cancer and was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles about a month ago due to a relapse. He died overnight Saturday at the hospital.
Best known for creating popular shows "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune," Griffin began his career in the 1940s as a bandleader and singer.
In 1950, his Cockney-accented rendition of I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts earned him a Number 1 hit.
He launched a talk show in 1962 and it ran until 1986. He also launched "Jeopardy" in 1964, and over 40 years later it is still on the air and has been exported to networks around the world. "Wheel of Fortune" made its debut in 1975 and was recently extended to 2012.
Griffin was friends with numerous celebrities, including Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who credits the TV mogul with launching his career.
"Merv was an entertainment and business giant who excelled at whatever he put his mind to, and he will remain a legend in the hearts and minds of Californians forever," Schwarzenegger said.
"We became good friends, and Merv has always been a big part of my success."
Brit vs. K-Fed: Round 1
Britney Spears' pal Alli Sims was served with legal papers at 2:30 a.m. Sunday forcing her to testify about the singer's parenting skills.
Sims was leaving a party when Aaron Cohen of IMS-Security handed her a deposition subpoena from Mark Vincent Kaplan, lawyer for Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Federline filed for primary custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James last Wednesday. He is apparently worried about Spears' behavior and believes she is exposing their sons to "unnecessary risks."
Sims recently told People magazine that Britney is "a wonderful mom and she is so hands-on. ... Britney loves those babies to death. And they adore her."
Spears was also at the party with Sims, but apparently did not witness the serving of the papers.

Usher marries!
Despite last week's last-minute wedding cancellation, Usher and pregnant girlfriend Tameka Foster reportedly got married in a lawyer's office last Friday.
The low-key private ceremony was a far cry from the lavish spectacle planned for July 29th, which was to take place at the Hamptons home of record executive L.A. Reid. The couple reportedly spent $10,000 on invitations alone, planned a performance by Robin Thicke and food by renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Usher and his groomsmen were to wear Armani suits.
In attendance at the lawyer's office was Usher's mother and former manager Jonetta Patton, whose disapproval of Foster was purportedly a cause of the initial wedding cancellation. Rumors also claimed arguments about the wedding plans and a prenuptial agreement were also to blame. Foster told People magazine that all of the rumors are untrue, but she did confirm she was treated for a pregnancy-related medical scare but is now fine.
The baby is due in the fall and will be the first child for Usher. Foster has three children from a previous relationship.

John Mayer and Dave Matthews Band headline VT memorial concert
Virginia Tech University will hold a memorial concert on September 6th to honor the 27 students and five faculty members who were killed April 16th by gunman Seung Hui Cho.
Performers at the free show include Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Nas and country singer Phil Vasser.
"We're extremely grateful for the compassion and generosity of these artists who wished to create a very special event where our students, faculty and staff can come together to celebrate the spirit and resiliency of our university community as we begin a new academic year," Virginia Tech president Charles Steger said in a statement.
The concert will be a positive note for the beginning of the first semester following the tragic shooting.
"We have a profound respect for the incredible resolve and unwavering sense of hope the university community has shown and are honored to have the opportunity to share this evening with Virginia Tech," Dave Matthews Band drummer Carter Beauford said in a statement.
Two of the musicians are from areas near VT's Blacksburg campus. Dave Matthews' musical career began in Charlottesville and Vassar is from Lynchburg.
Lindsay bashes others when wasted
People obviously do a lot of dumb things and make comments they may not otherwise when they are drunk. Well, Lindsay Lohan is no exception, and seeing as how she is drunk more than the average person, I guess that means she puts her foot in her mouth more than the average person, as well.
A former "party pal" of Lohan told the National Enquirer "When Lindsay Lohan gets really wasted, she gets mean and arrogant and often backstabs her Hollywood competition."
Lohan brags that she is the greatest actress in the world, and she has made rude, inappropriate comments about a number of Tinseltown stars, including:
- Scarlett Johansson - "ugly, fat, and has no talent"
- Jessica Simpson - "can’t sing and is as dumb as (bleep)"
- Sienna Miller - "no talent crackhead"
- Keira Knightley - "flat, shallow, cardboard cutout of an actress"
- Jessica Biel - "phony, scheming joke of an actress"
But I guess those comments come as no surprise considering the lewd remarks she wrote about Johansson on a bathroom mirror in a club one time. Oh well, what else can you expect from a egotistical, immature crackhead?... oops... that must have been the alcohol talking.
