Remember when Britney Spears was actually a singer? When she was better known for her abs of steel and sexy costumes than her bizarre behavior and poor parenting?

Well, here's a clip of her new single, "Get Back." Unfortunately, it sounds as bad as she's looking/acting these days...

It is being reported that Miss Spears has not only ditched the chance to duet with Justin Timberlake, but also that she may have fled the country with sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. What is going on, Britney? She was the hottest thing in music a few years ago and now she's really gone off the deep end! Reports from Page Six are saying that Justin wanted to help restart Brit's crumbling career but the poptart declined! What is she thinking? A duet with Justin is what she needs. He brought sexy back, he could definitely bring Britney back!

To make matters worse, rumors have been rampant about Britney leaving the U.S. with the kids! We hope K-Fed gave her permission to take the boys with her! The two have been in a custody battle over the kids since their official divorce. Local media has spotted Brit Brit in Belgium recently. Hmm..your guess is as good as ours.

What is She Wearing? Kate Middleton Recycles for Zara Phillips' Wedding

If yesterday I thought that Kate wearing her green Diane von Furstenberg dress was too soon, today I think her recycling is just perfect.

If I'm not mistaken the neutral gold brocade coat that the Duchess of Cambridge sported to Zara Phillips' wedding hasn't been seen since the wedding of Laura Parker-Bowles in 2006. Can't be sure if Kate is wearing the same lace dress underneath.

Kate also made the recycling work by adding a dramatic new fascinator and some new accessories that we've seen before--namely her L.K. Bennett Sledge2 pumps and Natalie clutch.

This week has started out to be a reeeeaaallllyyy busy one for me. And it isn't gonna slow down for a while. :/ With life going on and with all the craziness that comes with it, I often have to remind myself to KEEP CALM! ;)

Chic AND Functional in the Office

I really do apologize for my sporadic posts, but I'm trying to get organized in the new house and trying to enjoy the summer at the same time. Part of the getting organized is getting M's work stuff (papers, binders, etc.) off my temporary-but-new dining room table, which meant a trip to the store on Sunday to see what's up. Just having him find time to come with me places (mostly because I need him to haul the heavy stuff home) is a task in itself, but I digress.

At the moment we've got three bedrooms sitting empty. One will eventually become a guest room, another will house clothes and shoes for now, and the third we're looking to turn into a chic--hopefully--and functional office. Looking at inspiration pics I can't help notice that while these offices are definitely glam the desks aren't really made for storage. And the truth is we need hidden places to shove things so we can achieve the appearance of harmonious organization.

We looked at IKEA'S Expedit desk/bookcase combo (thinking white--the room is grey with dark hardwood floors). Sleek, the bookcase offers the opportunity for extra storage especially if you invest in some pretty boxes or the drawers and doors you can buy to fit.

While I liked the Expedit I found myself more drawn to the Hemnes secretary (I mean, who wouldn't rather have a secretary than a desk?!) Not only is it functional with holes for wires and all that, but once it's closed up the Hemnes looks like any other piece of furniture. Which means that I could even still use the room as another guest bedroom without making people feel like they've been plunked in the office. Just set a chair in the corner ready for use when required and we'd be good to go!

The Hemnes even has another piece that fits on top for additional storage (and I'm all about hidden storage). I think I'd change the handles and it could work. I'm even liking the brown-grey colour, which looks different in store. What do you think? Any advice, suggestions, etc. would be much appreciated!

Aside from desk shopping, Sunday turned out to be a pretty productive day. We bought a barbeque and a light for over the island (yet to hang it to see if I like it as much as I think I do). This week also saw the arrival of our chairs (pics soon--promise!), the ordering of the temporary countertop for the new island and we also got the additional stainless steel piece we needed to custom made for the hood fan. Progress!

Katrina became a fan of Kareena!

Kareena Kapoor has a long list of fans. But she would have never thought that rival and actress Katrina Kaif would be one of them!

At a recent event, the pretty actress was all praises for the Kapoor beauty. Katz is too cool for catfights.

“I think Kareena`s a great performer and when she dances she adds that extra bit that the choreographer hasn`t taught her.As an actor, I admire that a lot”,said Katrina.

Is Katrina playing it safe? Perhaps she wants to avoid any kind of controversy. Few days back, Katz had also denyed a brand war (and the war for Sallu`s attention) with Sonakshi.
Now that she has spoken about Kareena and Sonakshi, we wonder if Katrina will have any kind words for Deepika Padukone.

Shilpa Shetty’s bald new avatar in her upcoming movie!

This is Shilpa Shetty’s bald new avatar in her new movie “The Desire”. The Indo-Chinese venture has her portraying the role of a monk.

But the actress has not really shaved her head, she went in for a prosthetic make up, which would take about four hours to do every day.

The actress could not dream of losing her lustrous tresses for a role. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada, Sachin Khdekar, and a Chinese actor Xia Yu.

2011 Teen Choice Awards

I just finished watching the 2011 Teen Choice Awards.

I think it's crazy how these award shows and making posts about them kind of indicate how much time has already passed. Next thing we know, we'll be blogging about the Oscars again = crazy!

Okay, now that I've said that... let's talk about the 2011 Teen Choice Awards. Oh wait, I have a story -- so my younger siblings all made accounts on the Teen Choice website so they can vote, and I wanted to vote too so I started making my own account. At the back of my mind, I was already thinking that maybe I can't vote because I'm not a teenager anymore, but when I entered my birth date, the year 1990 was part of the choices = hooray! So, there I was all happy that I can vote... but when I clicked done, they told me I am "not eligible" because I am not a teen. :(

But oh well, it's okay, that didn't stop me from making sure my siblings voted for Harry Potter in every category they were nominated for. ;)

Anyway, okay, red carpet... blue carpet!

I loved this look! I think it's very appropriate for the kind of award show that Teen Choice is. I love how fresh, fun, simple, and youthful this look is.

Switched at Birth is now one of my favorite TV shows! Katie is very talented... and beautiful!

Elizabeth Banks - J. Mendel dress and Edie Parker clutch

She looks amazing! I love how she made her dress really stand out by keeping everything else simple.

Avril Lavigne - head-to-toe Abbey Dawn

Very simple. Nothing crazy. I like it.

I probably won't wear the shoes though, but they are so Avril.

Fergie - Dolce & Gabbana dress and Christian Louboutin heels

Fergie makes the look work!

Demi Lovato - BCBG Max Azria dress and Christian Louboutin shoes

Not my favorite look, but it doesn't matter. I'm glad that Demi looks beautiful, happy, and healthy! :)

And those shoes = wow!

Blake Lively - Gucci dress, leopard print Louboutin stilettos, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels

I actually like the dress, and I think she looks gorgeous as always, but the shoes and the jewelry are making the whole ensemble kinda off.

JoJo - Marco Marco dress with Penelope and Coco pumps

I didn't really see her on the actual show, and I didn't even know she was there until I saw her blue carpet photos. :/ I wish they made her sing (instead of Selena Gomez... peace to all Selena fans, but her voice is nothing compared to JoJo's).

Taylor Swift - Rafael Cennamo halter dress, Ranjana Khan belt, silver Fendi peeptoes, and Neil Lane jewels

I think she looks pretty and her dress is pretty, but I'm not too crazy about this look.

Anyway, I wonder how awkward tonight must've been for Taylor... Joe Jonas was there, along with his other ex-girlfriends Demi Lovato and Ashley Greene (who sat next to Taylor!). Taylor Lautner was there, and we all know Back to December was written for him. Taylor Swift also went out a couple of times with Cory Monteith and Chord Overstreet (who were both there!). And of course, there's this whole Selena dumped her bff Demi to become bffs with Taylor thing. :/

Selena Gomez - Erin Fetherston mini-dress and Brian Atwood stilettos

I am not her biggest fan, but I usually like her style (or her stylist's style, haha!)... but this look is just too all over the place for me. It's not my favorite.

Nina Dobrev - Dolce & Gabbana gingham dress, Dolce & Gabbana clutch, Salvatore Ferragamo pumps, and Ippolita jewels

I think she's pretty and I love her hair and makeup. The dress is okay, but the print reminds me of an apron. :(

Ashley Greene - black and white Givenchy dress, strappy heels, and Neil Lane jewels

I like her hair and makeup... and yeah, that's it. The rest of the look is just not working, at least in my opinion.

Zooey Deschanel - Miu Miu pumps, tan floral tank dress with black lace trimming

I don't like the look, but I like her!

Zoe Saldana - Lanvin dress, Alexander McQueen shoes, Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, Jamie Wolf bangles, Lana earrings, and Carla Amorim ring

I'm undecided about this look. But I think I dislike it more than I like it. :/

Raven-Symone - black blazer, harem pants, and black pumps

I guess it's okay, but I'm still waiting for her to wear something really "Wow, that's beautiful!".

Nikki Reed - Etro halter dress and a Ferragamo clutch

This look would've worked... if she wore a different dress. :/

And I think his and Selena's PDA is more nauseating than cute. Sorry, Beliebers and Selena fans, peace! But yeah, I don't think I'll ever say this, but I prefer Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart over Justin and Selena.

Anyway, HARRY POTTER was a huge winner tonight!
