Deepika Padukone was the first choice, when Director Ayan Mukherji was planning to do his next film after Wake Up Sid with his actor Ranbir Kapoor under Karan Johar's Dharma Production again.
But later there were speculations that Katrina Kaif will be boarded in the movie, when Ayan declared that he is yet to finish his script before thinking of the cast. At that time the break up of Ranbir-Kat turned out to be something big. At that time, Kat being in the project was kind of sure as Katrina is close to Ayan Mukherji and though Deepika is also being friendly with the young director, there has been sight doubts of Dips being in the movie.
Later there were no news about this film, while a few days back Katrina Kaif had openly declared that she is in Ranbir-Ayan's movie and that she will not be part of Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 under YRF films.
But now we hear that Deepika Padukone has pipped in Katrina and is being paired opposite her ex. Yes the latest developments happened with Katrina's dates clashed with this project which is to take off by November 2011 with that of YRF's production movie with Shahrukh Khan, which is Directed by Yash Chopra himself that also stars Anushka Sharma.
A source says, “Now it’s official. Deepika will romance Ranbir.” We hear that Deepika who is promoting Aarakshan has been telling that he has no issues working with her ex by friend Ranbir again, already knew that she is the one for the movie, but kept mum since she did not sign the dotted lines yet.
Well after Bachna Hai Haseeno we get to see the old couple back on screen to romance. Lets wait to see if their off screen being friends still even after break up works out in their favor on screen.
