Nisha Kothari’s (aka Amoha) association with Ram Gopal Varma may have ended with the pathetic performance of Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag. But this bombshell, who found herself stranded in Bollywood after being dropped by Ramu, is making a strong comeback to South India through Raj: The Showman. The film has all the ingredients of becoming a huge hit with Puneet Rajkumar as hero. Shooting is progressing in the outskirts of Bangalore.

This skinny girl with killer looks was introduced in Tamil with Jay Jay opposite Madhavan. She made her Hindi debut with James and Sarkar, both directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Since her debut in Hindi, she was known as the muse of Ram Gopal Varma but their next film, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, a remake of the legendary Sholay, was a complete box office washout. Even Ramu admitted that Aag was a mistake. With Aag (translated fire) fast extinguished fast by the audience, the friendship between the director and the actress also ran out of steam.

Although Nisha became a known figure in Bollywood, her name is often associated only with non-significant roles with daring and steamy outfits. She is yet to come up with noteworthy performances to be considered as a serious actress; she is probably wishing Sandalwood will provide her with the opportunity which has been eluding her for long. It will take a lot of hard work and an image makeover for Nisha to be considered a good actress. With her ability to bounce back, hopefully, she will taste success this time. Nisha Kothari-"All around actress"

Once upon a time Nisha Kothari was more famous as Ram Gopal Varma’s discovery, but now she’s making inroads in Telugu Cinema. Her first Telugu flick to hit the screens was the Balakrishna starrer Okka Magadu, since then she’s appeared in a string of spiced up glamour roles.

Now her new movie Hari Om starring new-comer Sekhar, along with Madhu Sharma, is in brisk progress. She has also replaced the actress Malavika in Samrajyam, being filmed in Tamil as Karthigai, due to Malavika’s pregnancy.

Known as Amoha in Tamil Cinema, this spicy hot bombshell is called Nisha across the border in Telugu Cinema. Actually, she’s was born Priyanka Kothari and says that she wants to be known by her original name.

But then it’s a bit late for that now Amoha/Nisha. But ’A rose is a rose by any other name.’
