Lindsay Lohan's Maserati: The Mystery Solved!

Just when you think she's hit rock-bottom, she finds some fresh dirt and keeps on shoveling down...

When Lindsay Lohan was first seen driving around in a $100,000 Maserati, I immediately figured Samantha Ronson was leasing it for her, considering that Ronson is the only one of the two currently making any sort of money (for plugging in her iPod and looking bored. Yeah, must be nice...).

Well, I was wrong.

TMZ says that the car is owned by porn producer Dennis DeSantis. Some of DeSantis' classy works include Origami So Horny. Destined to be a classic!

After Lohan's assistant busted the car by driving into a Subaru, DeSantis just shrugged it off, paid the $10,000 for it to get repaired and allowed our little train wreck to keep driving it.

DeSantis also claims he lent her the car "just because."
There's no strings attached.

PFFFFFFFFTTT! PLEASE! Even in L.A., porn producers are given the side-eye!

I wouldn't be shocked if when I was trolling the adult section of my video store, I saw Lohan's face on the cover of titles like A Prairie Whore Companion and Freaky Friday.

Dina Lohan will be so proud. No, she really will be. I wasn't being sarcastic.

I guess we all find our place in this world, eventually...

Candy Spelling Still Won't Speak to Her Daughter

Those Spelling women sure are prolific wordsmiths. Just a year after Tori Spelling's book telling her side of her feud with mother Candy Spelling entitled sTori Telling, her mother's now come out with a tome of her own. Candy's memoir, Stories From Candyland, has been published and she's hard at work promoting it (well, since she's never had to work a day in her life, and lives in a $150 million mansion with more bathrooms "than I can count" (as she told CBS2 News in NYC), she may as well do SOMETHING productive with her life).

The 63-year-old grandmother confessed to People the full extent of her estrangement from her daughter and grandchildren, "I don't see Tori and Dean anymore. I used to see Liam, but no longer. And I've never met Stella."

These people need to stop wasting their time coming up with punny titles for tell-all books and sit down and hash out their issues. Or at least have the decency to just do reality shows. I don't have time to read all this crap.

Lady Gaga Speaks!

Well, whispers, actually.

What's she whispering about? Will she be relevant in five years?
You be the judge:

Kareena Kapoor in bikini for ‘Kambakth Ishq’

One of the most awaited movies of 2009 is Sajid Nadiadwala’s “Kambakkht Ishq” and the movie is all set to make this summer even hotter with its release as the promotional stills of the film show Kareena Kapoor is a hot black bikini. The audiences will also get a peek into this much awaited Akshay Kumar - Kareena Kapoor starrer during the screenings of Aa Dekhein Zara. The film’s USP is undoubtedly the exciting chemistry between Hollywood stunt man (Akshay) and a firebrand model (Kareena).

kareena kapoor in bikini

Both the protagonists are strong headed people, and both have their own terms of life. Akshay lives by the mantra that “women are only good for one thing” and Kareena can stare down the most arrogant male with her caustic wit and sardonic tongue. Another star attraction is undoubtedly the number of Hollywood stars included in the movie.

Salman-Katrina headed for separation

salman,katrina

Again the gossip column is filled up with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s splitting news. Grapevine is abuzz that Salman Khan’s over possessive nature has widened the gap between the two. He is said to be the root of their separation. Sallu is stubborn and overprotective and he does not want Kat to question him regarding any matter. He wanted to lead life according to his own wish. Moreover, Salman wants a housewife who only manages his house and does not like an independent woman like Katrina who is ambitious.

Their bitter relationship came into forefront when both did not talk with each other on the set of Veer. Their long period of silence has given birth of their differences. They were on the same venue but hardly spoke with each other and maintained a professional relationship. They remained far away from one throughout while shooting in Jodhpur. It was easy on Salman’s part to call off his relationship but problem lies with Katrina Kaif who in five years of long commitments with Sallu not only fallen for him but also became very friendly and homely with Salman’s parents.

The main men in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan

mani-ratnam

Raavan has been shot extensively in jungles of many areas like Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and recently near Korea. As the team has been venturing into very dense parts of the forests to get the right spots, a few men with special duties have always traveled with the team. There is a special first aid team in case any wild insects or other creatures caused problems and there were also a few men who were experts at handling snakes who were kept with the team to avoid any serpent from getting dangerously close to anyone in the unit. One cannot be better prepared!

Preity surprises in Heaven on Earth

When the first slap comes, it hits us, the audience hard across the face.

Spousal abuse as a theme is not new to cinema. What sets Deepa Mehta’s Heaven On Earth apart from other films on the theme including Jagmohan Mundhra’s Provoked is the fusion of unspoken unexpressed terror with mythological elements all packed with sardine-like compactness into a small apartment in Ontario where Chand newly-packed into a flight that takes her to her wedding in Canada, arrives fearful and hopeful.

What she brings with her is her mother’s tales and homilies, songs and mythology that follow the bride into her chamber of horrors.

What follows in Chand’s new life is a Kafkaesque nightmare that could claim the life of any Indian bride transported into a foreign country after marriage . Absolute authenticity is the hallmark of Deepa Mehta’s vision. Her permanent cinematographer Giles Nuttgens enters Chand’s adopted Canadian home with her and remains by her side, living her pain, experiencing her humiliation and agony, as within no time Chand becomes that nightmarish entity whom we all read about in crime sections of the papers.

The abused wife

The film’s greatest triumph is its economy of expression. The tightly-wound tale of the tormented wife is never allowed to have loose moments. Ironically, outwardly, we see a warm home filled with a Sikh family, half of whom seem to have absolutely nothing to do. Within their abject nullity lies the secret to the violence that claims possesses and tries to smother Chand’s domestic dreams.

We know from the start that she’ll escape the nightmare of a brutal marriage. That she lives to tell her tale is self-evident. The magic of her existence in the trap of an arranged marriage lies in the illusion of normalcy and compassion that she creates within the ambience of abject terror by inventing a double for her husband... a doppelganger, a spirit in human form, if you will, who applies balm to all of Chand’s wounds and gives her the courage to survive when the very breath of her existence is being choked out.

The snake-god from Chand’s backyard in human form assuming the physical traits of her violent husband is a metaphor that illuminates the darkest recesses of Chand’s godforsaken life. Every time she hides in her bedroom for a dialogue with her phantom-soul mate, Preity Zinta’s face lights up with thousands of unexpressed yearnings trapped in a heart that aches for release. Zinta lights up the darkest corners of her tortured and frightened character’s heart.
Thoroughly deglamorized and devastated by destiny’s cruel blows, Preity plays Chand with a dignity and depth that take us by surprise.

She and director Deepa Mehta keep the hysteria completely in check. The drama is generated completely from the normal domesticated sounds and sights.
The film creates the growing claustrophobia of Chand’s marital domesticity with acute austerity. The spurts of on-screen violence are all the more shocking for the way they erupt within the workaday milieu.

The one big sequence of violence erupts in the kitchen when Chand’s somewhat confused and altogether out-of-control husband Rocky thrashes his wife... for his outwardly-stoic mother’s sake, of course.
There are no villains in Heaven On Earth—not even the husband Rocky (played with understanding by newcomer Vansh Bhardwaj) who hits out at wounds that are never allowed to heal.

There are only victims in Deepa’s scheme of presentation. Silently-screaming puppets on a string being manoeuvred into a life of domesticated dereliction by forces that we could designate as fate or just cruel blows of workaday drudgery.

The mythic intervention that creeps into the plot with the appearance of the naag in Chand’s backyard, slithers into the scenario with surreptitious grace, creating for the theme a residue of myth and dream that nourishes the wife’s bereft kingdom.

The borderline between illusion and reality, between Chand’s violent reality and the world of harmony and love she creates in the womb of her heart, is so superbly seamless we never know when Chand’s smothered scream transforms into a silent whoop of triumph.

Heaven On Earth is not a film that offers easily digestible solutions to the complex problem of domestic violence. It neither takes sides nor allows the bride to turn into a pitiable victim. Preity Zinta standing supremely dignified at the centre of the conflict firnishes the theme with amazing grace. She’s the only known face in the crowded Punjabi home of patriarchs, matriarchs, victims and perpetrators of bitter violence. But Preity never lets it known she’s a star.

She merges into the terrifying domesticity of Deepa’s household. The character steps out occasionally into the workaday world of a migrant job (the friendship with the feisty Jamaican woman at her workplace rings a little hollow when compared with the reality that envelopes the rest of the plot) and returns to her horrific home space where she creates a mythical merger between illusion and reality.
Finally, when Chand says goodbye to a life of married trauma we see on Preity’s face a mixture of distant triumph and immediate self-realization.

Chand has finally come home.

Why Nicolas Cage Should Not Be In Batman 3 or any Super Hero Movie

In a recent interview with MTV Nicolas Cage volunteered his acting skills as 'any' super villain in the next Batman 3 movie. He didn't know which one he wanted to portray, he just knew he wanted to be in it. This is exactly why he should not be in it.

Why should any storyteller hire an actor that doesn't understand the material or appreciate a character. Remember when he was almost cast as Superman? Look at how hallow he was in GhostRider! Sure the movie was poorly constructed but Nicolas Cage hasn't been great in a movie since Raising Arizona. Meanwhile the importance of picking a performer for a role is what is paramount in super hero movies. Why? Because in super hero movies you as an audience member are asked (not expected) to suspend disbelief. The believability of the characters especially the antagonist and protagonist are perhaps more important than everything else including special effects and set design.

When an actor asks to be in a super hero movie for the sake of being in it you give up respect for the story. You didn't see people discussing who should play Tyler Durden on web sites prior the filming of Fight Club because traditional books are not scrutinized by the public for who is acceptable or even expected in an a role. Why? Because you can't compare comic book stories transitioning into film the same way as traditional books are.

When any comic book becomes a movie, the run up includes fan boys posting and cross posting wide and detailed discussions on who should play who in the subsequent story. X-men demanded that Patrick Stewart play Xavier. When the film brought him to the role, there was a wave of relief among every potential X-Men viewer that would come to see the film. This goes on for many characters that ended up on the big screen.

Sure it's a little bit silly to think that comic books and super hero stories are so highly scrutinized by their fan base, but it is what it is. Hollywood has done well in the past to realize this reality exists. When it fails to accept this premise, you can almost define the box office sales by the pre-Internet discussions going on before the films are released. As an aside, comic book readers don't like to see big name Hollywood stars in MOST super hero movies. They want to see the actor that most looks like their character in the story. They want to see an actor that has the mannerisms and feel for the character in the story. They want to see an actor that is most like the character, they never want to see an actor playing the character. This is why it is so hard for Hollywood to make a good super hero movie. A rare exception is Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and even he had to not be more like Robert Downey Jr. and more like Tony Stark.

In the case of Nicolas Cage, when an actor doesn't step up and ask for a specif role because they identify or appreciate a character, they really have no business asking in the first place. Nicolas Cage doesn't belong in Batman 3 or an any super hero movie as long as he doesn't have a n appreciate for a character in it. If Nicolas Cage said to MTV, "I would like to play a villain in a super hero movie some time" this would not have been offensive. But to people that read comics this is an insult. Comic book readers watch characters they know and appreciate come to life on the big screen without much respect for those characters often enough that I felt it best I defend them today. After all, I am one of those readers.

Preity stressed as IPL goes 'videsh'

Preity Zinta has no players from South Africa, neither does SRK. The star is hassled but ever-optimistic about the repercussions of the IPL being re-located to South Africa.

You sound very stressed?

These last few days have been very hard on me, thanks to all the hassles connected to the Indian Premiere League (IPL).

Was it a shock to you when the IPL was relocated to South Africa?

The situation is such, what to do? The option was to either have it outside India or not at all. No one is happy to shift from home ground. That thrill of playing across our own country at domestic tournaments is gone. Going to various cities with the matches is a high. However people can still watch it on tv. That’s still there.

But an Indian event shifted to South Africa?

I know. But we’ve to be optimistic. Last year when the IPL started everyone thought it would flop. It became the biggest hit ever. Likewise, the shift to SA could make the IPL bigger. What else can I do except be hopeful?

But it’s being translocated to a new culture and environment?

Of course it is! But what can we do? I’ve always believed whatever happens in life happens for the best. The timing of the IPL crisis was unfortunate. My most challenging film Heaven On Earth is on release. I’d have liked more time nurturing it. You know I did Heaven On Earth for myself. Lots of times I’ve done things for this reason and that. But this time it was entirely for me. And I don’t mean that in any selfish way. I just needed to connect more with my inner self. This film made me do that.

Tell me about your preparation for the role.

I’ve worked quite a lot with battered women. I’ve studied so many kinds of mental disorder. Domestic violence comes much after other forms of disorder. Every scene in Heaven On Earth rings true. I had a hundred notions on how to play the role. But when I met abused women I decided it has to be very real. I’m very proud of it. Let’s see how audiences in India react.

So the timing of IPL was unfortunate?

Yes, it was a little unfortunate. No matter how positive we try to be about the situation there’s undoubtedly a feeling of dismay about the IPL moving out of India. It’s amazing how such a thing could happen.
It’s like uprooting a national event?

Exactly. It’s like asking an actor to perform in a theatre where nobody knows him. But we’ll make sure that the quality and profile of the game doesn’t change. Only two percent of the audience watches the game in a stadium. Most of them watch the game on television. But there’s that vibe when the game happens on home ground. That spirit can’t be captured anywhere. Having said that I don’t want to sound whiny and petty. I want to thank South Africa for agreeing to host the IPL games. They’ve gone out of their way to accommodate us, flung their fields open to us. I think South Africa will make a beautiful home for the games.
Wasn’t the choice between South Africa and England?

Yes there were several options. But it finally came down to chosing between those two countries. We didn’t want to go into a place where there was too much rain. I think SA will be fun. Who knows, they might even allow me to play. That’s my secret fantasy. Miracles do happen, you know.

So is South Africa going to be the permanent venue for the IPL?

If India decides to have elections every year, who knows? Ironically, South Africa is also holding elections.

Is it just elections that ousted IPL from India? Or was there a security scare after what happened to the Sri Lankan cricket team in Pakistan?

I refused to believe India is scared about the security. Does the country shut down because we can’t get enough security? I think we need to vote even more carefully. We must put the proper people in places of power. I don’t think we should vote for anyone —ANYONE — who has got criminal records. See their track records and then vote.

How will you be ready with the IPL in SA in time?

We Indians don’t only exist in chaos. We thrive in it. Even last year when IPL happened for the first time we grappled with all odds. I know I’m going to have sleepless nights. But that’s a different story. I can’t pretend I’m not disappointed by the relocation. But South Africa is a terrific country. I’ll have lots to do besides cricket. In Punjab it was difficult for me to move out. Preity Zinta will have a blast shopping in SA. Preity Zinta the team owner is worried. We’ve no players from SA. Neither does Shah Rukh.
Are the boys demoralized by the relocation?

Their choice was between no IPL and IPL in South Africa.

What Were You Thinking! - Rihanna Tattoos Gun

At last count Rihanna has riddled her body with over ten tattoos, eleven is one estimate. Make that twelve.

Now there is one more. It's a gun on her ribs by tattoo artist, BangBang, whom she flew in from NY to L.A. to print her. Is it a response to being brutally smacked around by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown? If you ask Rihanna it appears not."We've been talking about the idea for a year," referring to BangBang which he gave her last Thursday at her Hollywood mansion. She had a necklace with a gun, and I love it. I was like, "How about the gun?" In fact she was set to have two guns. But in interviews and blog postings by Bang Bang, he paints (or inks) different picture.

"I printed it out, put it on her shoulders," BangBang explains he originally designed his art for both shoulders, "it took a little bit away from her face. She's so beautiful. That's not what we're going for!"

This is terrible timing in terms of her decision making, but then again, look who she dated in the first place, and is it really over or will she protect him as many abused women often do? Let's hope not.

Rihanna shows some signs of intelligence in the matter though, in BangBang's Myspace page he tells fans, "I really wanted to put it here (on her arms)? She loved 'em. But, Cover Girl wouldn't have liked it much? and they pay the bills! Ended up doing it on her ribs."

Originally Rihanna wanted to put two guns on herself, one on each arm but stopped short due to her contract with Cover Girl Cosmetics. Still there was no stopping Rihanna from having her way on the matter. In the end it appears despite what she may say, BangBang spills the truth on why she had the gun tattoo'd on her body, "It's powerful. It's protection. At least that's my interpretation of it." Seems to me, the woman hasn't a clue.

diamond heart necklace

No. Really?

In other Lindsay Lohan news, she seems to have made yet another enemy in Hollywood. I know, shocking, right?

See, earlier this week, Long Island's favorite trainwreck told Nylon Magazine that she is thinking about giving up acting in order to do more modeling, claiming that it’s really “fun” for her, and “doesn’t feel like work” at all.

Well, model Tyson Beckford had a few words on that topic. He thinks that the only thing Lindsay knows how to do like a model is party.

Beckford, who attended a Make Me A Supermodel bash Tuesday in NYC, told Usmagazine.com, “She has the partying part down right. But I don’t think she’s got the focus. I mean, it requires a lot of focus and a lot of people think they can do it, but they really find that it’s a lot harder.”

Added the model, “Ask anyone - it’s a lot harder than it looks. I guess that’s why they call us supermodels - we make it look easy. But it’s not as easy as it looks, so I wish her all the best.”

Well, he’s got a point about Lohan’s lack of focus, and let's not even get started about her lack of looks. Once upon a time, Lohan was a VERY pretty girl, but drugs and hard partying pretty much flushed those down the toilet.

Still, being a model -- while certainly entailing much more than sitting in front of a photographer's lens -- is NOT that difficult. What's difficult about it? You wake up, get pampered, complain about your oh-so-tough life, obtain an entitlement complex, "date" a musician or two, party like the world's going to end, then marry yourself off to a rich sugar daddy when you turn 30, only to cheat on him with Mustafa the 18-year-old buff French poolboy because J. Howard Marshall doesn't lay the pipe properly (and who does, really, at 60-something years old).

You want a truly hard job?
Try being a fireman.
Or a police officer, or being in the military.
Better yet: How about you try obtaining a PhD -- y'know, READING A BOOK with words that are a little bit more profound than "Pat the Bunny," or a BOOK that doesn't have pictures of rail-thin carcasses wearing ridiculous clothing that cost as much as a monthly mortgage payment?

Somehow, strutting down the cat walk in beautiful clothes doesn’t strike me as all that difficult when compared to, say, running into a burning building, or stem cell research for Alzheimer's Disease, or risking your life on a battlefield.

Sorry, Tyson. Nice try, though.

Lindsay Lohan's Major Comeback

If you're one of Lindsay Lohan's "sicko fans" (as she referred to all three of them in a recent E! Online interview), then you will pleased to know that you don't have to go far to see her next masterpiece. You don't even have to get off the sofa, because it will be beamed directly to your TV. This generation's Gone With The Wind, Labor Pains, will make its debut on basic cable! Academy Awards, here she comes!

The movie's production company told UsWeekly that it will show on ABC Family in July (there is so much wrong with this, I don't know where to begin).

Now, I'm vegan, so y'all have to help me out: Isn't this how you're supposed to eat a cheeseburger? You sit on a stoop, hike up your dress, spread your legs and devour that thing like you haven't seen food since Clinton was President. Just like Clinton, that cheeseburger won't tell you it loves you, and won't even think of calling you the next day. And, just like Clinton, the cheeseburger left behind a little memento on her dress.

(And you all think I can't make fun of liberals! Personally, I think Clinton was the best President of the modern era, but a spade's a spade: he was far from a faithful husband...)

But on a serious note, women like Top Chef's Padma Lakshmi OBVIOUSLY don't eat things like cheeseburgers. (Those things add up...in the wallet, the waistline, AND the major arteries...) Hardee's is not catering to their demographic. This should be an obese construction worker sitting on the sidewalk with sauce dripping all over his left moob which is poking out of his overalls. Way sexier.

P.O.S. Covers Pearl Jam's classic "Why Go"

P.O.S was one of the breakthrough artists at SXSW 2009! Praised by the New York Times, Spin, MySpace, Boston Globe, Metromix and many more for his powerful live show and genre-defying new album, NEVER BETTER.

P.O.S was among a select number of artists picked to cover Pearl Jam classics for MTV, in celebration of the re-release of their debut album Ten. P.O.S's version of "Why Go" is below. The video has started spreading virally, it's currently featured on Digg.com's homepage in the "Top In All Topics" section.

Said P.O.S., "I was asked if I was interested in covering a Pearl Jam song by MTV2. I thought it was funny that they wanted to include me, being a rapper and all, but I wanted to take a shot at it. I loved Ten when it came out, rocked the tape till it popped. One of my favorites on it was Why Go, none of the bands they asked had picked it yet so I did. I though about reworking the original lyrics into a rap kind of situation, but then I was playing the melody on one of my keyboards and thought it might be more fun to just straight cover it. So I did. It was fun. I hope you likes it."

‘Videsh is about abuse, immigration & imagination’

Preity Zinta has always been Bollywood’s brave babe. Her ‘bravery’ should not be confused with the shallow ‘boldness’ that her contemporaries exhibit by showing off their bodies in skimpily clad outfits. The feisty actress’ strength lies in her selection of roles as well as her ability to speak her mind even off the screen. No wonder Deepa Mehta chose Preity to be a protagonist in her women-oriented social drama Videsh, earlier known as Heaven on Earth. Renuka Vyavahare met Preity Zinta to know more about her internationally acclaimed film Videsh.
What is Videsh all about?
Videsh is a film which shows how the power of imagination helps us elevate our lives when reality becomes simply unbearable. It’s not just a story of Chand who leaves her family residing in India’s small village and goes abroad after marriage only to get subjected to abuse, it’s a story of millions of girls who go through the same dilemma and have no support system in Videsh. It’s a full bodied film in which abuse just plays a small but integral part. The film is also about immigration.

What prompted you to do an off-beat women-oriented social drama?
India has a great culture but there are certain rituals that are often hidden under the carpet. Someone had to talk about these issues that continue bothering women even till today! I was glad Deepa thought I was the one. Also, Videsh was a huge departure from the roles that I was bored doing. I was frustrated playing a woman who knew where she is going in life.

pcm's 'POP-IN' With: Jerad Finck

Independent Washington-based pop-rocker Jerad Finck recently chatted with our writer Kristyn Clarke about his music career, a new album and much more! Check out his music at his MySpace page to learn more about this new artist we're promoting!

Now, read on and get a feel for what Jerad Finck is all about:

Q: We see that you're ready to head back into the studio and start recording a follow-up to your debut album, what should fans be expecting this time around?

A: "I've done a lot more writing. I'm trying to get better as an artist."

Q: You just finished up a 40 city tour, what was that experience like?

A: "The most grueling experience of my life. A lot of fun! I saw about 38-39 states, saw a lot of the country. It was crazy and a great time. We'd play a show then drive 7 or 8 hours and do it all again. We broke down at the Hoover Dam one night and was stuck there for hours one night! We'll do the next tour in late spring/early summer."

Q: What is the writing process like for you? What inspires you?

A: "It can be any kind of moment. I try to capture just little snapshots of life. Reading a book, watch someone kissing their girlfriend, you know?"

Q: Where do you see the future of music heading and where do you see yourself in that picture?

A: "The pool of musicians has gotten so huge with things like MySpace, anyone can be a musician. People just aren't really buying CD's anymore either, it seems like the death of the album. I hope not. I hope that people keep writing great records. I just try to create something that will be around for a long time. "

Q: How would you describe your music to a first-time listenener?

A: "I definitely am more pop-rock, I think. I like energy in my music. I like bands like The Beatles, Sister Hazel and Green Day that are more upbeat."

Bipasha’s Time Off

Bipasha Basu hot pictures260309<br />

After nonstop shooting, Bipasha Basu has struck lucky. Due a scheduling issue with Lamha, she landed a month’s holiday. Basu is using this time off to indulge in some activities that she normally does not find time to partake in. This includes belly dancing classes, swimming and driving. Unfortunately, she cannot exert too much pressure on her knees, which are not in the “best condition,” she had to throw out the idea of salsa dancing and instead turned her hips to some belly dancing.

Bipasha is already known for her great dancing. In the past, she has made audiences swoon at her dancing moves in Omkara, Dhoom 2, Bachna Ae Haseeno, and Race. Although Bipasha is learning the dance all in the name of passion, she also expressed that she wouldn’t mind incorporating her new dancing steps into one of her movies. We’re sure she won’t stop dancing and busting out a few moves, but we do hope she see her in a belly dancing avatar in the near future.

Dog Saves Little Person

Okay, Hollywood can now stop remaking every classic known to man, because here's an epic original story that's begging to be turned into a silver-screen trilogy. It has everything you need: a lost midget, a chihuahua, a forest, helicopters, friendship and true love! And it happened in real life! Mary-Kate Olsen, call your agent!

It all started when the 45-year-old tiny lady who goes by the name of Beverley Burkitt decided to go for a morning walk with her chihuahua, Pebbles, near the camp site they were staying at in North Wales. Beverley went deep into the forest before realizing she dropped her cell phone somewhere. She also realized she was lost! Instead of getting lost even more, Beverley sat down with Pebbles and waited for help to come. They weren't found until the next morning after a ground team and helicopters were sent out.

3'8" Beverley thanks 7" Pebbles for keeping her safe and warm through the night. She told The Sun, “Pebbles lay across my legs overnight and kept me warm. I was wearing a coat but it wasn’t as warm as Pebbles. I wasn’t too worried as I knew I’d be found sooner or later."

Don't ask me how Beverley got lost in a forest. I was under the impression that little people knew their way around every forest. Like it was a gene they were born with. But thankfully, Pebbles was there. This is why you should bring a chihuahua with you wherever you go. They SAVE lives! Although, something tells me after a few hours Pebbles was starting to look at Beverley like she was a delicious chicken wing.

Ryan Reynolds is Dead on as DeadPool in New Wolverine Movie

He's wanted the role for what seems over 10 years.... Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. And the comic book character Deadpool has wanted to be Ryan Reynolds.

Sometimes the big news in movies like this isn't that Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine again. Instead it's the introduction of other X-Men characters we all have been waiting to see.

Unlike the small cameo appearances of ultra cool characters like Colossus in the last two X-Men movies, these new characters are showcased. Characters such as Gambit and Deadpool will be pivotal character in Wolverine. In fact reshoots took place as the Deadpool character became more important to the studio execs. As he should be. Any graphic novel enthusiast worth his/her salt knows that Deadpool was part of the Weapon X program along with Wolverine.

What is great is that Ryan Reynolds is taking this graphic novel character just as serious as Robert Downey Jr. has taken Tony Stark in Ironman. Ryan sees Deadpool for what he is underneath the mask; Wade Wilson. “ I don’t even look at it like I play Deadpool in this movie. I really think I more or less play Wade Wilson, and I’m playing the creature that will eventually become Deadpool but in this movie it’s his newly formed version….so to speak.”

You want to believe that the studio recognizes that while this is Wolverine's origin, that you can't make a character like Deadpool an aside in the same way they did with Venom in Spider-Man. Deadpool is a complex character. He is the only character in all of comics that knows he is a comic book character and even Ryan Reynolds has discussed this aspect of his character in interviews. Deadpool at this point in the story is not disfigured, his character as many know his is not the same as what most readers know him as. Wade Wilson before his disfigurement won't wear the mask. Will this be the Deadpool origin as well? We will see.

Anne Hathaway Is Judy Garland

Young actress Anne Hathaway wowed the Academy Awards crowd when she showed off her song-and-dance talent alongside host Hugh Jackman. Someone was obviously paying attention to her skills and a lightbulb went off. Smart man/woman!

Movie news! Anne Hathaway has signed on to play 'The Wizard of Oz' starlet Judy Garland in both screen and stage adaptations of the biography 'Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland.' Seems pretty accurate to us. Anyone disagree?

Zac 'I Don't Sing & Dance Anymore' Efron

Looks like Zac Efron doesn't want to just be known as a song and dance man anymore. We think it's a little too late for that. The 21-year-old actor recently dropped out of Footloose, the upcoming remake of the 1984 musical.

“Footloose is a project we’ve longed to see re-booted for a new generation. While Zac is no longer attached, we remain excited and committed to the collective brain trust of [director] Kenny Ortega, [producers] Neil Meron and Craig Zaden, who will reinvigorate the franchise,” a Paramount Pictures rep told Us Weekly Monday. “Their fresh take on the film will undoubtedly be filled with the same kind of breakout performances that we’ve come to expect from them.”

We're sure the movie may still be successful - everyone loves a good musical. But we don't know what to think about Zac sudden change of heart. He better not pull a 'Bachelor' on us and decide he wants back in again!

Look Out For That Deer, Matt Lauer

Today Show host Matt Lauer suffered a separated shoulder over the weekend in Long Island when the anchor went flying off his bike in an effort to avoid a deer. Talk about a crazy story to tell your grandkids!

The 51-year-old "Today" show host flew over the handlebars. NBC says Lauer was wearing a helmet. He expects to return to work later this week. We think that's the best excuse we've ever heard to skip a day of work!

Punked By One Tree Hill's Chad Michael Murray?

Hmm, we're sure we'll get to the bottom of this one soon! What's the deal? Thank gosh for YouTube! Carolina fans caught One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray telling then some shocking tidbits about his future on the CW's hit drama. It is set to come back for a new season however, CMM says they don't want him back on the show!

Check out the footage. Does it look like he's joking or serious? The CW show centers about Murray so we're thinking it may be a prank. Here's some excerpts from what he says in the video, "They don't want me...I'm not joking." "See, this is what all the fans should do online, is start blogging and being pissed off that they don't want that. That's what they should do." "They're not bringing me back next year...because they want to save money." Tell us your thoughts, would you continue watching the show is CMM leaves? Does anyone still watch the show religiously?
