Hong Kong is the perfect destination for those who want to unwind through dining and shopping. Transportation is easy, you can get around the island by train, bus, or by ferry. Their train system is similar to New York's subway system.

There are many stores that are walking distance from most hotels. Stores offer affordable products that range from beauty supplies, shoes, bags, clothes, and electronics. Some have actual store stalls, while others set up tents (almost similar to a Farmer's Market here in the U.S.) They do have set prices, but you can always negotiate with the vendors. Our favorite shopping place is located on Nathan Road.

Food is, of course, delicious. Authentic Chinese food at its best. :)
They also have street food that may or may not appeal much to Western taste. I haven't personally tried them, but based on how many people I've seen enjoy them, maybe they do taste good. Have you tried Hong Kong street food?

Another thing that attracts tourists to Hong Kong are their theme parks. Ocean Park is a combination of America's Sea World and other theme parks put together. It was a fun and unforgettable experience for our family.

In 2005, Hong Kong opened its very own Disneyland Park and Resort. I think it is a great option for our friends in Southeast Asia because it gives them the chance to experience the magic of Disneyland closer to home.
