Lifehouse Performs on Conan O'Brien Tonight!

Santa Monica, California, January 15, 2010 - As Lifehouse gears up for the release of their fifth studio set, Smoke & Mirrors, on Geffen Records March 2nd, they will debut their top 10 single "Halfway Gone" on the Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien tonight, Friday, January 15th. Tune in to NBC at 11:35 pm to catch their performance!

"Halfway Gone" was co-written by Lifehouse lead singer Jason Wade, Kevin Rudolf ("Let It Rock") and producer Jude Cole (Rocco Deluca, Beth Orton) and is THE fastest growing single of Lifehouse's career at Hot AC radio - currently at #9 on that chart. The single was serviced to Top 40 radio this week and will surely become a pop smash as well.

With Smoke & Mirrors, lead singer/guitarist Wade, drummer Ricky Woolstenhulme Jr., bassist Bryce Soderberg, guitarist Ben Carey and producer Cole have created a set that combines their live sound with great record making.
Smoke & Mirrors showcases two sides of Lifehouse - songs like "Smoke & Mirrors," "Wrecking Ball" and "Had Enough" capture the live, rock side of the band; a sound they perfected after 10 years of solid touring. Jay Leno's Reign on the Tonight Show Comes At an End

After 17 years of working on the Tonight Show Jay Leno will take his bow on June 1, 2009 with his last show. Although he is leaving the Tonight Show we will still be seeing him on television in 10:00pm slot with another comedy on NBC. He feels like it'll be good for television and audiences to have something comical on television so it can contrast with all the serious things on at that time. Jay Leno will soon join the memories of the other hosts of the the Tonight Show.

Steve Allen was the original host of the TV show when it started in 1954. Following him was Jack Paar who was known for his fun and jokes but his emotional outbursts as well. It was because of him that the Tonight switced to being taped live to pre-recorded the evening of the show so they would have time to edit time when he became overtly emotional. But it was thanks to Jack that the Tonight Show started having guests on the show. Johnny Carson replaced Jack. He stayed with the show for about 30 years! Jay Leno became the host of the show with Johnny's blessing. Johnny Carson started to let people guest host on Monday and Jay Leno was frequently a guest. After Johnny Carson left Jay became the host for the Tonight Show which we all know today.

Jay Leno has promised "something out of the left field" for his last show. His final show will include superstars like Mel Gibson, Billy Crystal, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Look forward to some great shows coming your way.

The Scoop On Late Night Show Switches!

We know it's confusing! Last week NY host Conan O’Brien signed off and is moving his show to L.A. He’ll take over the Tonight Show from Jay Leno later this year. In his place – enter Jimmy Fallon, the new host of Late Night. Jimmy’s first show is Monday and People has confirmed that Justin Timberlake will help his old friend kick it off his first show. The two starred in the classic SNL skit, "The Barry Gibbs Talk Show" together.

Robert De Niro will also be a guest on the show. Pretty strong for ratings, we think! "I thought it would be kind of good to have my first guy be probably one of the toughest people you could interview," Fallon said recently.

Fallon has also booked Clap Your Hands Say Yeah for his March 4 show, and "Gossip Girl" hunk Chace Crawford for March 6.

Shavin It Up

Conan O' Brian is back to work starring his newly shaven baby, silk, ooey gooey, chocolately covered beardless face. Well, darn it all to hell. Just when everyone was starting to get used to it he has to go and do something so mercilious. Hey..did you hear something? No? It sound of tear drop fallin in the background. Oh why, oh why , oh why do people think this topic is worthy of primetime news or even entertainment. It just boggles my mind.
