Heroes Season 3 Premiered Last Night

Season 3 of NBC's Heroes opened with a two-hour episode last night. Did you watch it? Let's discuss, what did you think, PCM readers? Feel free to leave some comments!

"Villains" was originally designed to be included within the second season; however, due to the writers' strike, the volume was carried over into season three. The lead-in to "Villains" showed our favorite villian Sylar regaining his lost powers, shown as the final scene of the "Generations" finale, which to the steady Heroes viewer seemed awkward.

Without spoiling the season three premier's content Heroes has one serious problem to overcome this year. How do you kill off a character and keep them dead? And when the network features all the characters in a showcase running an hour before the new season, you get the feeling anyone that dies, won't stay dead. It leaves one to question if the 25% drop in viewership is a sign of Heroes jumping the shark in Season Three?

Gym Class Heroes New Single!

Check out the video from Gym Class Heroes! They just released a new song, "Cookie Jar," we are liking the video! Those silly guys are always pretty creative in their videos. Pay attention to the beginning - is that a Britney Spears cameo we spotted? Are we seeing things? What do you think?

PCM Exclusive Concert Pic

While we were covering The 2008 Warped Tour at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ. We caught a performance by Katy Perry. Perry (whose single, "I Kissed A Girl," is number one on the charts right now) took to the stage around 6PM. Her stage presence and set is totally adorable. She certainly has a unique look to her with her retro clothes. Guess who else we spotted there? The frontman of Gym Class Heroes, Travis McCoy, was spotted on the side of her stage watching her perform. It looks like she could be singing to him in this picture! The two have been publicly dating since December 2007. They're so cute!

Gym Class Heroes Frontman Arrested

7/2 UPDATE: Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, defends his friend Travis' actions.

The bassist wrote on his blog defending his friend and writing about the person who was heckling the GCH lead singer at his concert, "you know what? you call my friend a “n_gger”, i dont even give a f*** what happens to you. i dont want to see you in this scene. i dont want to see you at shows. you are who we write songs about. you are who we think about when we hate. radiohead, karma police over and over again in my head. what a joke. you are f****** pathetic and anyone that disagrees should put their white hood on too. i dont want your ticket money. i dont want your cd sales. id rather be poor and unknown. i am angrier than i have been in a long time. hate upon hate upon hate.
thank god for my friends."

Travis McCoy, the lead singer of The Gym Class Heroes, was arrested on Tuesday for one charge of third-degree assault.

At a St. Louis stop on The Warped Tour happening now, McCoy and crew had just finished the first song when an audience member near the front row called the lead singer a “f****** ignorant n*****.”

McCoy reportedly reached down and hit the heckler on the head repeatedly with his microphone. He issued an apology for his violent reaction and said it wasn’t representative of him as a person.

“I’m sorry. But when someone calls you something that ignorant and that offensive, you have to bash their head in with a microphone,” said McCoy. Can you really even blame him?

Keeping up the the Plain White T's

Armed with a blockbuster hit single ("Hey There Delilah") and a gold-certified album (Every Second Counts), the juggernaut known as Plain White T's continues to steamroll ahead. The band’s latest headline-making move will take place this fall when they’ll join Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes and Cute Is What We Aim For on “The Young Wild Things Tour” which kicks off on October 18th in Columbus, OH.

The Chicago-based PWT’s, who recently won a Teen Choice Award for “Choice Summer Song,” were nominated for an MTV Video Music Award (for "Monster Single of the Year"), and were spotlighted in Time magazine, have enjoyed a string of successes lately beginning with their summer smash "Hey There Delilah" hitting #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart, as well as #1 on the iTunes Top Songs Chart (a spot which it held for four weeks). The single is currently one of the most played song in the country across all formats. In addition, the video clip is #1 at VH1 and in heavy rotation at MTV, Fuse and MTV Hits. The momentum has also spread internationally with a gold album in the UK and #1 records in five countries (UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and the Netherlands). The band will be back doing a string of headlining dates through out the UK and Europe starting in January 2008.

Along with their fall tour, the band’s preparing to release their new single “Our Time Now” which they will perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on October 10th. The single will also be introduced to fans as ESPN’s theme song for their college football coverage.

In other band news, the quintet is returning for the second season of GREEK. The band will tape their first episode for season two on September 26 in Los Angeles. The episode will air in early 2008
