John Genelia are not married!

Producer Vipul Shah is shocked at the claims of Pandit Bhagwat Guruji, who said that he got actors John Abraham and Genelia D’Souza married off while shooting for a wedding sequence in their new film “Force“, and says the priest is just looking for his 15 minutes of fame.

Vipul Shah said in a statement, “Countless number of weddings have been performed in Hindi cinema, but this is the first time that I have come across someone so keen to be in the limelight that he can go far enough to claim to have married Genelia D’Souza off”.

He added, “I do not hold anything against Pandit Bhagwat Guruji but will not let anyone point a finger at the leading lady of my film in this manner. He is only looking out for his 15 minutes of fame without any real standing. The whole incident is bizarrely shocking and there is no truth to it at all. Any such claims should be dismissed as a desperate attempt to gain attention”.

There were reports that Genelia and John Abraham were shooting for a wedding sequence for their upcoming film “Force” wherein the mantras that were chanted were real and the duo religiously completed all the wedding rituals.

Bhagwat Guruji got engrossed performing the rituals that he ended up pronouncing them husband and wife in real life.

Genelia’s spokesperson also rubbishes the claims, saying, “The bizarreness of the pundit’s claim is astounding. It is extremely unfortunate that someone would try to take advantage of just being in the same scene as Genelia D’Souza in this manner. This truly is an eccentric attempt to grab the headlines”.

John Abraham’s killer looks in ‘Force’!

One cannot but agree with the fact that John Abraham has one of the best bodies in our tinsel town. However, despite the fact that the hunk has a physique which makes him a perfect choice for pure action thrillers, John has kept away from hard-core action flicks, the only exception being ‘Dhoom’ where his chemistry with bikes was more than obvious.

 

Now, finally John has turned to flaunting his perfectly toned body with eight-pack abs in a pure action flick produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and directed by Nishikant Kamat of Mumbai Meri Jaan fame. The movie is the remake of the Tamil film Kakha Kakha and chirpy Genelia D’Souza will play his love interest in the film.

Though the storyline of the movie has been kept into wraps, it is known that John plays an encounter specialist and given his killer looks in the poster just released one can definitely say that John is out to set many a heart ablaze there!!

Genelia wants to be a romantic

Smily Beautiful actress Genelia D'Souza has thus far played roles on the lines of bubbly and stereotypical, and girl as next door.

 

But could that be passe? Ask Genelia on this, says a candid Genelia, "If the content is romantic.

 

The films comes to be naturally since it suits me and the story. Surely, I relish playing.

 

bubbly and playful characters which is why thes efilms came to me. But in reali life, I’m affectionate, yet a mischievous girl. I don’t like tensions."

 

Anymore more on the reali life? Genelia adjoins, “I respect my family and work. I like being friendly.

 

And never get into challenges and that’s how I was all through my school and college.

 

On rumors, Genelia comes strongly saying, “I don’t care about rumors and gossips. To me, I’m concerned about current and what I am doing now.”

 

Genelia is currently busy shooting for a Tamil fim ‘Uthama Puthiran’ starring Dhanush. This film is a Telugu remake of blockbuster film ‘Ready’, directed by Srinu Vytla.

Genelia signing up for fairness cream brand

New Delhi, Bollywood actress Genelia D’Souza, who shot to fame with “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na”, has joined Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor in signing up as the face of a fairness cream brand.

 

She will now endorse Garnier’s new product Garnier Light, said a press release from the firm.

 

Deepika is the brand ambassador of Johnson & Johnson’s new fairness cream Neutrogena Fine Fairness, while Bollywood hunk John Abraham endorses Garnier Men fairness cream. Sonam Kapoor is the face of L’Oreal white perfect and last year Katrina Kaif was signed up as the face for Olay’s skin whitening cream. 

 

Actresses like Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu have spoken against fairness creams as they feel it generates discrimination on the basis of skin colour.

Shahid’s ‘Chance Pe Dance’ new promotion techniques

The film-makers are trying out new promotion techniques these days. After Aamir Khan’s unique promotional tour across the seven cities of India, the makers of ‘Chance Pe Dance’ have come up with another novel idea for the promotion of the film. The film deals with the struggles of newcomers when they come to join the glamour and glitz of the tinsel town. In keeping with the spirit of the film, the leading stars spent a whole night sitting on the roof and bonnet of a car.

They came at around midnight on Wednesday in T-shirts and track pants at the Kamalistan Studios in Mumbai. Vada pao and tea vendors were present along with khatiyas (string cot) nearby for the audience. Both Shahid and Genelia had tea together. This went on till 7 a.m Thursday.

 

 

Actor Shahid Kapoor said that this reminded him of his struggle period which included renting a number of houses to spending a night in a second hand Maruti 800 to giving 100s of auditions and getting rejected.

 

“All these things are a memory. I am very happy and proud of the fact that God has been so kind to me and given me so much. I am glad that I was able to get through all those difficulties in my life,” said Shahid.

 

Shahid said that this resembled a real-life incident with him. “We always lived in a rented flat and we had to shift from one flat to the other and my family was not in town. Due to some reason we had to leave the flat a day before and I had to spent the night in the car.”

Shahid Kapoor sports eight-pack abs in ‘Chance Pe Dance’

Move aside Aamir and Shahrukh, six-pack abs are passé, for Shahid Kapoor is busy flaunting his eight-pack abs in his forthcoming film Chance Pe Dance.

 

Shahid has trainer Abbas Ali to thank for his new sculpted body. Abbas reveals that, "After 'Kaminey' we had only two months in hand to change his complete look. It's Shahid's sheer hard work, dedication and consistency that transformed him from what he used to look a couple of years ago to his present look."

 

 

 

Besides training five days a week, Shahid followed a strict dietary regimen. "Shahid is a vegetarian and he doesn't even takes egg so first class protein, which is required to build lean muscle, was not there. White carbohydrate was removed from his diet, like white potatoes and pasta. We added brown carbohydrate like brown rice, sweet potato, oats instead.", says Abbas.

 

And what was the motivation for this lean look, apparently Shahid wanted to ensure that he was both dancing and looking his best for the performances in the movie. Says Abbas, “Shahid told me that dancers are coming from abroad and he wants to look like god and move like god.”

 

‘Chance Pe Dance’ is directed by Ken Ghosh, who previously gave Shahid his break in Ishq Vishk. In the movie Shahid plays a struggling actor opposite Genelia D'Souza. The movie is expected to arrive in theatres near you on Jan 15th.

Shahid’s life story retold in ‘Chance Pe Dance’

Though it’s not a bio-pic, Ken Ghosh’s movie Chance Pe Dance has a lot of slices of the real life of the film’s leading star Shahid Kapoor.

For instance, in the musical film, Shahid’s character has to face a lot of rejection during his struggling days. The same was also true for the actor who had many doors slammed on his face before he got the much-sought break in Ishq Vishk.

Another similarity is that in the film Shahid’s character drives a run-down car and even lives in it. The same was the case with Shahid as well when he used to drive an old car (though he never lived in it) during his struggling days in the industry. In fact, an instance from Shahid’s life when he played a tree in a school play as been recreated as it is in the film.

But the most striking similarity is the love for dance that Shahid’s character has in the film. It’s no secret that Shahid himself has been a terrific dancer from the start of his career and dancing is a no less passion for him than acting.

In ‘Chance Pe Dance’, Shahid plays a struggler who participates in a reality show, and slowly emerges as a dancing superstar. The film has Genelia D'Souza as his ladylove.

Genelia Wanting To Work With The “KHANS”

Genelia D’Souza hasn’t had another release as yet after Jaane Tu…, and she is seen more in TV commercials than promos for forthcoming films with big banners.

“What’s the definition of a big banner,” she asks. “I have worked with UTV, Studio 18, Aamir Khan Productions, done films in the South, and I have four releases this year. There’s one opposite Fardeen Khan, It’s My Life opposite Hurman Baweja, Hook Ya Crook with John Abraham and Yahoo with Shahid Kapoor. Isn’t that a lot?”

But, yes, she agrees, that you come into your own in Bollywood only when you act with the Khans. And that kind of film is eluding her currently. “Like every young girl, I too would like to work with the Khans, but each film has a script and only a suitable actor can play that role,” she admits.

Genelia's mini skirt jalwa!

Genelia D’Souza ’s mini skirt can create a mini riot. Recently, she was doing a photo shoot when a mob simply went berserk, to just have a closer glimpse of the actress. Director Ken Ghosh , along with the whole crew of his tentatively titled film Yahoo was in Bandstand Fort, Bandra, to shoot for the first look of the movie. It was evening time and Shahid Kapur and Genelia were supposed to shoot a cozy scene. Shooting at a popular place generally has many onlookers. All was fine but when Genelia stepped out, donning a sensuous mini skirt, the crowd started to increase and in a jiffy people went bananas, making it impossible to control them. Cops finally suggested director Ken Ghosh to stop the shooting.

Attempts were made to cover Genelia with a jeans, but all in vain. Many even crossed the limits and were standing in danger zone. The whole Bandra fort had people thronging to get a glimpse of Genelia in mini skirt. Chief Creative Officer of UTV Motion pictures has confirmed the news and is quoted as saying, “Yes it was a very scary sight and people were all over the fort.” A few days back something like this happened with actress Neetu Chandra who was shooting for a photo shoot of a magazine in a lavish hotel of Juhu where a crowd of 80 gathered around the pool to see the skimpily dressed actress striking provocative poses with a female model. The shoot got cancelled because the mob was getting aggressive. Some even started to pass lewd comments. And the situation spun out of control.

Genelia seems to be nervous of her co-star Shahid Kapoor

Genelia, “It’s my first film with Shahid Kapoor who is a phenomenal dancer; and I’m nervous as hell at the thought of having to match steps with him.” Talking about her role in the film, she says, “I accepted the role because it is challenging for me as an actor.

Also, I share a good rapport with the film corporation who is producing Yahoo. For now, I’m happy to yahoo in Bollywood.” As for us, we feel that the jodi of Shahid-Genelia can create magic at box-office. All we need is to wait and watch!

Genelia D’Souza had shot for Ghajini

If there is one actress who must be feeling really frustrated looking at the stupendous success of Ghajini is Genelia D’Souza. Many must be aware that Kangana Ranaut and Ayesha Takia were being considered for a role in Ghajini but that was for the role which eventually went to Jiah Khan.

Sources inform, “The makers had zeroed down on Asin but her dates were getting to be a big problem. Finally as no word came from Asin, Genelia was brought in. Genelia too infact shot for 3-4 days with Aamir. But during that time Aamir started getting this feeling that audience would somehow not accept their jodi as she would be appearing with his nephew Imran Khan in his debut venture Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Just then the makers got a word from Asin that her dates issue had been sorted out. Immediately then, Genelia was replaced by Asin and as they say rest is history”

Genelia scores over Vidya

Genelia D’Souza, the bubbly heroine of the youth flick Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, has been signed up by the comedy director David Dhawan for his film Hook Ya Crook.

Interestingly, the role that Genelia is doing was supposed to go to Vidya Balan. But reportedly Bipasha Basu freaked out when she heard that her boyfriend John Abraham was working with Vidya. Well, it looks like the rumours during the shoot of Salaam-E-Ishq are still fresh in her mind!

Hook Ya Crook is a comedy romance produced by UTV that will begin shooting from January 7th in Hyderabad. Uday Chopra, who did a fabulous job in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, is the other star and David is happy to have her on board.

Well, we can say that Vidya’s loss turned out to be Genelia’s gain. Well, the Balan babe needs to get her act together fast. Genelia got a surprise from Big B

Genelia D’Souza is on cloud nine these days. The newcomer is overwhelmed at the response and praise she has received for her performance and beauty in her first hit film. The best compliment was the one which she received from Big B himself which she got through a card and bouquet from him. “I was taken by surprise when I saw a beautiful bouquet waiting for me at home. It was from Mr Bachchan, with a best wishes card attached to it. He was also there at the premiere of Jaane Tu… and wished me good luck. It is a great feeling to get such encouraging compliments from a person of his stature,” says Genelia.

She is also being offered a number of endorsements from advertising companies, which want her to be the face of their products - thanks to her fresh looks. Contrary to the buzz that Genelia is asking for an exorbitant price, Genelia says, “I am still a newcomer and not in a position to quote a heavy price.”
