Johnny Depp Named Sexiest Man Alive

Johnny Depp has been named People's Sexiest Man Alive for the second time. He is the third man to receive this honor, along with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. A spokesperson for People Magazine stated, "At 46, the father of two still reigns as Hollywood's most irresistible iconoclast; as one-of-a-kind as his beloved 15 year-old-boots and as smoldering as his favorite Cuban cigars. He has had women swooning since his days as a teen detective on '21 Jump Street'."

Reports circulated earlier this week that Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson was taking the Sexiest Man crown this year. However, Depp's sexiness reigns supreme.

Hugh Jackman, last year's recipient of this prestigious honor, is elated that the "pressure's off" of him now. He says, "I can be a slob again."

Also featured on 2009's Sexiest Men list include: Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, David Beckham, Bradley Cooper, Gilles Marini, Nick Cannon, Chris Daughtry, and Robert Downey Jr.

Heath Ledger's Final Film Role

The late Heath Ledger was working on the film The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus at the time of his death. The trailer for the film has finally been released and the movie is due out October 16.

The making of the movie was temporarily suspended after Ledger's death, but director Terry Gilliam decided to resume production and use Johnny Depp and Colin Ferrell to do the scenes that Ledger had not yet filmed.

Johnny Depp Plans to Send His Children to School in Britain

Public Enemies star, Johnny Depp has reportedly purchased a mansion in Bath and is now visiting private schools in the area. He is looking for a place to send his two children, Lily Rose, 10, and Jack, seven whom he had with French singer Vanessa Paradis.

The 46-year-old actor will most likely pick one in the next few weeks so his kids can be enrolled in time for the start of the new academic year in September.

A spokesman at one of the schools Johnny visited said, "As yet, he hasn't enrolled his children and I believe he is looking at other schools. If he is thinking of us for September, he'd better be quick as the school is filling up fast for the new term, particularly with overseas students. We've seen a real jump in students from overseas."

Johnny has really been striving to secure a more normal life for his family.

When asked what he would do if he wasn't famous for a day, he said, "I would walk through Disneyland with my kids. That's what I'd do for the day. I would go on every ride and I would walk through Disneyland with my kids and let them experience all the things most kids do. They don't get to do those things with daddy. When daddy walks through Disneyland with them, things get weird."

Emma Roberts Has a Crush on Johnny Depp!

Talk show host Bonnie Hunt sits down with 18-year old actress Emma Roberts to discuss her new movie, “Hotel for Dogs,” her fascination with “The Hills” and Johnny Depp, on “The Bonnie Hunt Show,” airing Monday, January 19 (syndicated / log on to bonniehunt.com for stations and times).

Actress Emma Roberts stops by “The Bonnie Hunt Show” to discuss her new movie “Hotel for Dogs” but discovers she and Bonnie are both confused over MTV’s reality show, “The Hills.”

“I started watching ‘The City’ which I think is better,” Emma tells Bonnie. “But ‘The Hills’ I don’t really understand because I think everyone knows it is fake except for LC because she is the only one crying in every episode. I feel bad I’m like, ‘She is always crying and no one else is. Maybe she doesn’t know it’s fake.”

Bonnie laughs, “That is a fantastic theory and very funny too!”

Roberts continues, “It’s not how people in LA really live. I would like to state that fact. They make us all look really bad. We’re not all like that I promise! We’re better than that.”

Bonnie also speaks with Roberts about growing up in the industry with a famous father and aunt and how her mom hesitated letting her get into the business. Emma reveals she had to convince her mom to let her audition for the role of Johnny Depp’s daughter in the movie “Blow” which she ended up getting. Roberts admits, “At the time I didn’t realize it was a big deal and then years later ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ came out and I was like, ‘Oh my god I love him!”

The Real Thing or a Trick!

This image is rumored to be the first photo leaked from the set of Tim Burton's new Alice in Wonderland film. It is Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter! I think he looks amazing, and the costuming definitely looks Burtonesque.

I ask you PCM reader's is this photo the real deal or just some photoshop magic?

PCM Picture Of The Day!

Johnny Depp has a hot and cold relationship with the paparazzi. Sometimes he deals with the flashing cameras in his face and other times, he will tell you what's on his mind. Upon arriving in Nice today, Johnny Depp greeted photogs with a warm French hello.
He didn't seem to want to deal with the pesky photogs in France. It makes for our PCM Pic of the Day! Enjoy, peeps!

Johnny Depp to Play Mad Hatter

Johnny Depp will be playing the Mad Hatter in a new version of Alice in Wonderland.

The film is directed by Tim Burton, who is putting a new angle on the classic children's tale.

“Tim has had designs on ‘Alice in Wonderland’ since before he was famous," a source said. “He has a knack for turning what seems like stories for just kids into gripping, spooky fables loved just as much by adults. He’s held out on doing ‘Alice’ until he got a big enough budget. Now this film is financed by Disney so money won’t be a problem.”

The film is slated for a 2010 release; it will be Depp and Burton's seventh collaboration.

Actors Slated to Finish Heath Ledger's Final Film

Jude Law, Johhny Depp, and Colin Farrel will replace Heath Ledger in his unfinished final film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The fantasy flick is being directed by Terry Gillian and filming was halted after Ledger’s accidental death.

Heath’s original footage will be kept, and the three actors will play a reconstructed version of the character.

Colin Farrell is honored to be a part of the film and said "It's about getting Heath's work out there, get his work out there, he's too good for any of his work not to be seen, you know, and I'm really keen and looking forward to doing it and just doing the best job I can do."

Ledger is clearly a respected actor and it sounds like the film will be a tribute to the young stars unfortunately short-lived career.

Johnny Depp's Gift to Children's Hospital

Another great reason to love Mr. Johnny Depp! He recently visited London's Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital on Sunday - and donated $2m of his own money to thank staff for saving his young daughter's life.

His daughter, Lily-Rose, 8, was admitted last March to the hospital for kidney troubles. She spent nine days at Great Ormond Street after E.coli poisoning led to the failure of her kidneys.

Depp has spoke about the event and said, "It was the most frightening thing we have ever been through. It was hell. "But the magic is that she pulled through beautifully. Great Ormond Street was terrific, a great hospital."

Last November, without much media coverage, Depp spent four hours at the hospital telling bedtime stories to patients dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow after having his 'Pirates of the Caribbean' costume flown over from Los Angeles. He also invited five Great Ormond Street doctors and nurses to the London premiere of 'Sweeney Todd...' last week. What a guy!

Lohan voted worst

Lindsay Lohan was the leading vote-getter in an AOL Moviefone poll of the worst performance by an actress in 2007. The troubled star's turn as a woman tortured by a sadistic killer in "I Know Who Killed Me" received 58 percent of votes.

The 3.8 million voters also expressed displeasure with another Lohan film. "Georgia Role" was voted second for biggest waste of $10 on a movie ticket. Number 1? "Norbit," whose star, Eddie Murphy, was voted the worst performance by an actor.

"300" and "Transformers" came in first and second for most worthy of a $10 ticket, and "Transformers" stars Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf won best onscreen duo, just edging out Michael Cera and Jonah Hill in "Superbad."

"Superbad" won the most votes for the funniest movie of the year, beating out Judd Apatow's other popular flick, "Knocked Up."

Megan Fox from "Transformers" and Johnny Depp of "Pirates of the Caribbean" were voted sexiest acress and actor, respectively.

Best villain went to Angelina Jolie's turn in "Beowulf" and Ralph Fiennes performance as Lord Voldemort in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

Best sequel was "The Bourne Ultimatum," and its star, Matt Damon, was credited for best two performances in "Bourne" and "Ocean's Thirteen."

Johnny Depp is #1

Sweeny Todd star, Johnny Depp rates number one for the third year in a row on Autograph magazine's annual list of Hollywood's top ten best and worst signers. Soft-spoken and laid-back, at 44, Depp makes an effort to chat with his fans and is listed as the most likely to give out his autograph.

The magazine ranked celebrities on data collected from California, New York, and Europe. Also making the list of gracious signers are Matt Damon, Jack Nicholoson, Rosario Dawson, John Travolta, Katherine Heigl, Jay Leno, Dakota Fanning, and Rusell Crowe. Apparently last year's list, where Crowe ranked among the worst, played a hand in improving the actor's relationship with his fans.

This years worst signers include: Will Ferrell, Tobey Maguire, Joaquin Phoenix, William Shatner, Renee Zellweger, John Malkovich, Julie Andrews, Bruce Willis, Teri Hatcher and Scarlett Johansson. The article does note that those on the worst list do occasionally sign, and those on the best sometimes do not. Although we can all agree that the paparazzi can be a buzz kill, what is come down to is who has time for their fans.
