Katherine Keigl Adopting a Baby Girl

Katherine Heigl and her husband, Josh Kelley, are planning on adopting a baby girl from Korea. The couple had wanted a baby for quite some time, and apparently started the process about six months ago. The little girl, who is approximately ten months old, will be named Naleigh, a combination of Heigl's sister and mother's names, Leigh and Nancy. The adoption pays particular tribue to her sister, who was adopted. Heigl says, "I want to honor her and her part in my life. I think adoption is a hugely important thing." The actress's rep confirmed the happy news.

Katherine Heigl & T.R. Knight Leaving Grey's

Who will watch Grey's Anatomy now if two of its biggest stars announced they are leaving ABC's medical show? Katherine Heigl and BFF costar T.R. Knight are leaving Grey’s Anatomy. Both actors have asked to leave.

However, ABC needs to sign off on letting them out of their contracts, which extend six years, and that hasn't been done. Will you continue watching the show now if they're gone? Do you think the show will even be able to continue with its ratings anyway?

“Right now, the whole thing is in the hands of their agents and ABC’s lawyers,” an insider tells EW. “Something will probably be worked out soon, but it’s a safe bet that Katherine and T.R. won’t be returning as series regulars next season.”

The network and studio say they cannot confirm anything, and Katherine Heigl's and T.R. Knight's personal reps have declined to comment on the subject. Are we really saying goodbye to George and Izzie?

2/13/09 UPDATE: In a PEOPLE interview at the NAACP Image Awards, the show's creator Shonda Rhimes called the exit reports "interesting rumors," going on to say they're "not true." She went on to say that "rumors become fact very easily." So we're thinking that means that they are not leaving after all!

Katie Heigl Turns 30!

“Grey’s Anatomy” actress Katherine Heigl was spotted with her husband/singer Josh Kelley and some friends enjoying a night out at the Desert Rose restaurant in Los Feliz. Katherine had a 1920s-themed party to commemorate her birthday! How fun!

Looks like Katherine was happy to trn 30, we know some young people dread that age but look how happy she is! Ha!

In other Grey's Anatomy TV news, the show scored its biggest audience since its season premiere this past Thursday, according to overnight data. The 'Ghost of Denny' helped the drama nab 15.7 million viewers! Good for them, we know the show doesn't sparkle like it used to, people were completely obsessed! Glad to see it's still doing well, right?!

Heigl Stays on "Greys"

Katherine Heigl, despite her displeasure about last year's writing, will be returning to "Grey's Anatomy" the network's programing chief said.

Heigl previously commented that she was not up for an Emmy due to poor writing for her character. These comments sparked speculation that the actress may depart from the primetime drama.

"She's absolutely staying with the show," ABC President Stephen McPherson said. "There's an unbelievable story line for her this year, which is really central to everything that's going to go on this season."

Katherine Heigl Disses Emmy

The Grey's Anatomy actress recently withdrew her name from the Emmy contention this year. Her reasoning? Heigl said, "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention." Many bloggers and articles are now surfacing on the Internet claiming that by saying this, Heigl is really sticking it to the writers of the show. Do you think she meant to slam them for writing her a bad part?

Heigl then stated that she "did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials." We think she may be being a little too hard on herself. Is this an honorable thing to do or just a publicity stunt?

Katherine Heigl came out on top of an AskMen.com poll of the "most desirable woman of 2008." The lifestyle site, which has seven million readers a month, holds the poll annually to determine 99 women who meet the attributes of an ideal girlfriend or wife.

"What Is Sexy? 2008"

Victoria Secret has come out with their 2008 “What Is Sexy?” list comprised of stars who they believe to have passion, humor, style, and charisma.

The lingerie company executives named American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, for sexiest smile. The Victoria Secret’s spokeswoman claims that Seacrest is sexy because “he doesn’t act like he is,” and that his smile is sexy “in a very subtle and innocent and humble way.”

Josh Holloway, Sawyer form ABC’s Lost, was named sexiest beach bod, Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckam was named sexiest mom, and Grey’s Anatomy's Katherine Heigl and her musician husband Josh Kelley were voted the sexiest newlyweds. Also, AbC’s “Dirty Sex Money was named sexiest cast.

Victoria’s Secret supermodel-spokeswomen, Adriana Lima will host “Victoria’s Secret: What Is Sexy? 2008,” a one-hour special on E! which will air on February 9th.

29-year-old Grey's Anatomy & Knocked Up star, Katherine Heigl has released some of the very first photos of her wedding day to singer Josh Kelly exclusively to Ok! Magazine. She talked in an interview with the magazine about the details of her special day:





On her initial thoughts about a winter wedding: “I don’t think either one of us was thinking a Christmas wedding. Originally it was because I only get two weeks a year for my Christmas vacation… but then we really got excited about it.”



On choosing to wed in Utah’s Deer Valley where Josh had vacationed with his family in his younger years: “We wanted to do it in a place that felt like a winter wonderland. We incorporated lots of big evergreens in the reception with twinkle lights and Christmas decorations.”

Grey's Anatomy's Katherine Heigl and musician Josh Kelley exchanged vows in Park City, Utah.

Attendees included Grey's Anatomy castmates T.R. Knight and Sandra Oh and Private Practice star Kate Walsh.

The 30 minute nuptials took place in a small, private tent at the Stein Eriksen Lodge, which was decorated with white flowers and white candles. Heigl walked down the aisle to a song Kelley wrote that was performed on the cello and guitar. A source said Heigl and Kelley wrote their own vows.

Wedding guests began to arrive in Salt Lake City on Thursday, and the wedding rehearsal took place on Saturday. Heigl was also thrown a "really feminine and small" bridal shower.

The two met when on the 2005 set of Kelley's music video for "Only You." Kelley told People in November that he's excited to wed. "We're madly in love and she makes me excited to become married and to have a family and spend my life with someone. We're fairly opposite but we also share a lot of the same values," he said.
