‘Best HAIRSPRAY Locker’ & ‘Coolest Locker Across the US’
Los Angeles, CA & San Mateo, CA (December 12, 2007) — Tapatap and RockYou have launched two user-generated photo contests with New Line Cinema promoting the Hairspray DVD release. To enter or vote in these two contests, visit www.rockyou.com/hairspray.
User-generated photo contests benefit the Hairspray fans by letting them get creative and showcase their personalities in their photo entries. Others can get involved by just voting for their favorite photos. The Hairspray DVD Locker deluxe gift set gives fans a way to actively participate in the brand on multiple levels. It features a metal school locker that can be personalized and decorated with custom photos and stickers as well as an exclusive Hairspray tote bag.
The first contest “Best Hairspray DVD Locker” photo is a photo sweepstakes enabling fans that have purchased the Official Hairspray DVD Locker to decorate their locker, and submit a photo of their unique design. The entries all qualify for random drawing. Grand Prize is a Mani/Pedi Party for you and 25 of your friends, 10 runner-up prizes include $199 valued Hairspray gift packs. Contest dates are Nov. 20, 2007 to Feb. 28, 2008.
The second contest is for anyone to enter their “Coolest Locker Across the US” photo. This contest empowers any fan of Hairspray to snap a picture of their school locker and submit into the photo contest. Entry with most votes wins. The voting structure is based on a scale of 1-10.
For both contests, fans can enter their photos, then post the contest/sweepstakes to their Facebook, Hi5, MySpace, Bebo, Friendster, Orkut, or any web page supporting embed code. Fans can invite friends to vote on their photo submissions, comment, and share their entries all within the photo contest widget on their personal profile pages.
