Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber's first child - a healthy boy - was born on Thursday.The 8 lbs, 4 oz., 22.5 inch long baby, named Alexander Pete Schreiber, was born at 3:59 in Los Angeles.
He was reportedly a week premature.
Watts and the baby are resting in a hospital near Watts' home in Brentwood, CA.
The couple met when they filmed the period drama The Painted Veil. They have been dating since 2005.
