Shania Twain is the latest celebrity whose relationship has not worked out. She and her husband Robert "Mutt" Lange, a producer, have been married since 1993.
"Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage," the singer's spokesman, Jason Owen, said in a statement. "This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time."
The 42-year-old singer and her 59-year-old husband have a six-year-old son, Eja D'Angelo.
"Our love has always been based on friendship and compatibility," Twain told People in 2002. But she added, "we are very different."
In 2007, she told Redbook: "I struggled a lot internally with my fame, and coping with it has been very difficult."
In other celebrity relationship news, on-again, off-again couple Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have called it quits again. The duo had been facing rumors of an engagement, but their two month renewed relationship reportedly ran its course."It was a pretty bad breakup," a friend of Wilson said. "Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn't want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him."
