Elizabeth Banks, star of Kevin Smith's new film Zack and Miri Make a Porno, will be playing Laura Bush in Oliver Stone's upcoming film W. due out October 17.In the highly anticipated Zack and Miri, due out October 31, Banks plays one of two friends to decide to venture into amateur pornography to pay their bills. Stone's unpublicized film focuses on George W. Bush's venture from a Yale party boy to president of United States. The bioepic delves into his administration during his first term as president coving the September 11th Attacks and the Iraq War.
Banks, a lifelong democrat, does not approve of the Bush administration but did not let that effect her performance of Laura.
"At the heart of 'W.' is a great love story. It's a father-son story, and then there's this great love story, too. George and Laura, they come off like a great couple in this movie," Banks said.
"I mean, you never hear a whiff of George Bush cheated on Laura Bush. Never. You hear that about every other president, but it's never even whispered."
