Victoria Beckham unveiled her latest fashion project, a line of 18 dresses. The unveiling did not take place in a typical posh fashion show but rather in one on one meeting in a suite at the Waldorf Towers. The designs them themselves are mostly calf length, chic day/cocktail dresses in which some are more formal but all are simply stunning.
The cut of the dress, rather than skin baring, is what makes the dress so sensual. “To me, ankles and collarbones are what is sexy,” Beckham said.
Dresses that can please a large range of women is the right idea. And when Mrs. Beckham designed every look, she wanted them all to have sleeves so they could be worn with a bra. Those that don't have sleeves have and inner corsetry(what every women wants right?). But the cut of dress, which is so close to the body, leaves us wondering was she simply designing for herself?
We are skeptical; these dresses look as though no one above a size 0 would look good in them. She needs to do a bit more of target market research before she goes into another designing binge. And one other problem Victoria is going to have is getting people to buy these dresses with the prices ranging $600- $1400 dollars.
