Whitney Port Splits With Aussie Boyfriend

The City star Whitney Port has split from her Australian musician boyfriend Jay Lyon, Us Weekly has confirmed. Fans saw the break-up take place last night on the show's finale on MTV.

The couple, who we saw meet on The Hills, then continued their relationship in New York on The City, decided to part ways after less than a year together. This makes us a bit sad, we thought they were cute together!

The City creator and executive producer Adam DiVello said, “Whitney and Jay are broken up as of The City season finale. There were a few factors in their relationship that led to their split and fans saw those play out on-air."

"As we pick up where we left off when The City returns later this year, viewers will see what unfolds as we continue to follow Whitney Port and her story."

Hmm, looks like there's more to the story after all. Never say never!

'The City's' Olivia Palermo

Evil takes a new form in The City's co-star Olivia Palermo. The NYC socialite is a co-worker of Whitney Port's on the MTV reality show and we think she's just awful! Poor, Whitney! She has been seen bullying Port in and out of the office with her harsh criticism of Port's friends and boyfriend, Jay Lyon.

"I've gotten so much more comfortable being in front of the cameras over the course of shooting this season. The first few days were a little bit awkward," Palermo has revealed in a recent interview. I bet it was hard, girl. You had to actually pretend to be nice in the first few episodes. She's so scary, isn't she? Someone please agree with me, and if you don't, please comment! Whitney Port, 23, is taking a break from the big city and was spotted in Miami soaking up some sun and taking a dip in the warm Florida waters! The pesky papz caught her, well, adjusting herself as she came out of the waves.

Joining Port on the beach were pal and "The City" co-star Erin Lucas and beau Jay Lyon, the smooth-talking Australian rocker that fans have fallen in love with from her show!

Thereality star has received high praise from The Hills co-star Lauren Conrad. She said, “Whitney is Superwoman right now! She’s working so hard and she’s got this amazing show. It can be very overwhelming at first, so I told her just take it one day at a time. I think that’s going to be Whitney’s thing — she’s the big star there. I”ll be watching, though!”
