John Travolta Flies to Help Haiti

John Travolta put his own Boeing 707 jetliner to good use once again on Monday. The Associated Press reported that the actor piloted his jet from Florida to Haiti with four tons of food and medical supplies for the earthquake victims. This is his second trip to aid in the relief effort.

Travolta also brought doctors and Scientology ministers to help in the relief. According to Pop Eater, the Scientologists have “irked" people, as the “Church of Scientology has been accused of capitalizing on tragedies in the past.”

Nonetheless, Travolta’s aid is much appreciated to the devastated country. The earthquake has killed over 150,000 people, and left hundreds of thousands of people injured and living in the streets.

"We have the ability to actually help make a difference in the situation in Haiti and I just can't see not using this plane to help," Travolta said. He hopes his effort inspires others to do what they can to help.

Travolta Family Faces Extortion Scheme

While still dealing with the tragic loss of their son, Jett, John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston are now dealing with extortion.

The Travolta extortion scheme revolves around a cell phone picture taken of son Jett as he lay dying in the ambulance.

It is believed that the photo was taken by one of the paramedics entrusted to help save Jett's life. The other person involved in the scheme is a local politician in the Bahamas, where the teen passed away.

How sleazy!

The men are threatening to sell the photo to the highest bidder if Travolta doesn't pay their million dollar ransom.

What an awful thing to have to deal with!

An attorney for the Travolta family said, "Regretably in a time of such terrible grief there are often a few individuals who attempt to make false claims in hopes of making millions of dollars. We will never let that happen."

We hope they get to the bottom of this, and that whoever is responsible for the extortion gets what they deserve!

Jett Travolta's Remains Go Back To U.S

As an update in the tragic death of John Travolta's son Jett, the deceased 16-year-old’s remains were flown back to the US, landing in Tampa Bay from the Bahamas last night (January 5).

During a press conference yesterday in the Bahamas it was confirmed that Jett’s death was a direct result of his ongoing seizure disorder.

The Travoltas released a statement on their webpage, stating, “Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives.”

TMZ, and CBS News, are both reporting that John Travolta's son, Jet, has died.
We're told 16-year-old Jett was vacationing with Travolta and wife Kelly Preston.

There have been reports that Jett was autistic, though Travolta has denied it, saying he suffers from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which often leads to heart disease.

Travolta's attorney Michael Ossi says Jett suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he died on scene.

Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium in the Bahamas tells TMZ Jett's body would be transferred to Restview on Monday.

A police spokeswoman says Jett hit his head in a bathtub and apparently that triggered the seizure.

When actors think they're gods...

It sounds like John Travolta is stepping on Tom Cruise's bandwagon.

Travolta says he is also opposed to antidepressants and psychiatry. He even goes as far as to blaming psychotropic drugs on school shootings!

I'll never understand why some actors seem to think they are the fountains of knowledge. I mean, both quit school before graduating from high school. My guess is this is the workings of the brainwashing of Scientology. But maybe both Cruise and Travolta should learn more from a neurological and chemical standpoint before they make wild proclamations and denouncements.

I'm just hoping Brooke Shields is willing to give Travolta a tongue-lashing, too!
