Where Are They Now?: Saved by the Bell

Have you ever wondered what the stars of your childhood favorite TV shows are doing now?

One of my personal favorites was Saved by the Bell, which was on the air from 1989-1993. The show followed six students and their principal at Bayside High School, and the friendships, life changes and social issues that go along with the teenage years.

Check out what the seven main stars have been doing since the end of Saved by the Bell:

Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano)
Was in the controversial 1995 film "Showgirls," which is credited for ruining her movie career. Has since been in several independent movies and plays, and has had appearances on TV shows, including "CSI," "NYPD Blue," "Without A Trace" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." Currently is the host of Bravo's new reality series, "Step It Up and Dance."

Dustin Diamond (Screech Powers)
Has made appearances and cameos on several TV shows, including "The Weakest Link." Was on seasons 5 and 6 of "Celebrity Fit Club." Recently made headlines for his alleged debt and possible foreclosure, even scheduling a (canceled) online TV telethon to make money. In 2006 a sex tape of Diamond was released, possibly to to raise his profile.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris)
Starred in several films and was the star of the short-lived TV show "Hyperion Bay." He played Det. John Clark on "NYPD Blue" from 2001-2005, and then was on "Commander in Chief" and "John from Cincinnati." He can be seen next on the 2008 new series, "Raising the Bar."

Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding)
Has made guest appearances on several TV shows, including "The Dukes of Hazzard," "7th Heaven" and "JAG." Recently toured high schools and colleges to give presentations that include his experiences on "Saved by the Bell."

Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater)
Host of "Pet Star," "ESPN Hollywood" and several primetime televised pageants. In 2006 became a cast member of "The Bold and the Beautiful" and was made a guest appearance on "Nip/Tuck." Was on the third season of "Dancing with the Stars" and was a guest host for "Extra." Currently hosts "America's Best Dance Crew" and is in Broadway's "A Chorus Line."

Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski)
Played bad girl Valerie on "Beverly Hills, 90210." Guest-starred on several TV shows, including "Two Guys and a Girl" and "Just Shoot Me," and had a couple of critically-panned films. Last seen on 2007's drama series, "What About Brian."

Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle)
Made appearances on "Days of Our Lives" and "The Bold and the Beautiful," and guest-starred on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." Was in music videos for several artists, including Boyz II Men and Dru Hill. Is currently working on a film adaptation of the book The Black Man's Guide to Understanding Black Women.
