Anne Kiley (Britney’s attorney) and Kevin’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan went before the judge today, with the big issue at hand reportedly being Britney’s failure to follow drug and alcohol testing protocol. According to Kaplan, there have been 14 drug tests Britney has been called to take, and she hasn’t responded for eight of them.Britney’s attorney argued that the pop star shouldn’t be held to the same set of standards and deserves to be treated differently. Her attorney was argueing that Britney should have more time to respond to random testing.
“With all due respect your honor, you’re not a pop star with a number one album,” Kiley told LA Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, causing Kaplan to throw up his arms and laugh, according to our courtroom source. (HaHa, we love that!) What a mess!
