Why is Ranbir Kapoor hiding himself nowadays? The reason apparently is more professional than personal. The actor reportedly doesn’t want to reveal his new bearded look for director Shimit Amin ’s film Rocket Singh and is home-alone for the time being. But that’s not the only reason. The chikna boy of Saawariya and Bachna Ae Haseeno is also shy of his half-grown beard and perhaps conscious that it doesn’t yet look good on him. In ‘Rocket Singh’, Ranbir plays a Sikh guy and thus it was required for him to grow beard to suit the character. It’s been reported that Ranbir is so guarded about his bearded look that he even refused to accompany his mom and dad, Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor for vacations in Dubai.
Both Neetu and Rishi were in Delhi for the shooting of a film where they are acting opposite each other. So when the couple wrapped up their month long shooting, they decided to take a vacation, but have to go without their son. The sardar look became a rage in Bollywood when Akshay Kumar ’s Singh Is Kinng got released. Throughout the movie Akki was in turban. In fact, for Imtiaz Ali ’ s next Love Aaj Kal , chote nawab Saif Ali Khan too is turning into a Sikh for a few sequences. And talking about the hiding act, it can be recalled that a few days back actor Shahid Kapur too did the same. He kept himself away from the public and media glare to keep secret his long-tresses-and-stubble look for his film Kaminey . Reportedly, Ranbir will stay at home for 15 days until the beard is fully grown.
