The press meet of Unnai Pol Oruvan was held in Chennai last week. Actors Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal and the film’s crew were present to talk about the upcoming project. At the function, Kamal said he wanted to do a different kind of film and A Wednesday really inspired him. When asked if he was willing to make a film on the sufferings undergone by Sri Lankan Tamils, the actor replied that it was a very sensitive issue and declined to comment on it. At this juncture, he stopped and went on to introduce the music director, none other than his daughter Shruthi Haasan. Shruthi has been getting more and more active in the industry by taking up new projects, and was recently the guest of honour at the audio launch function of Kavithai Gundar.
Shruthi Haasan has several projects on her mind and is determined to prove herself! Like her father, she has chosen to be multi-faceted rather than concentrate on one task and limit her options. When she was asked to speak a few words, Shruthi said that she would like to associate herself more with socially-relevant projects and would not give up until she is creatively satisfied. Way to go, girl!
