Vidya with Arshad sexy romantic stills

Vidya Balan in her upcoming movie Ishqiya was required to suck on Arshad Warsi’s thumb suggestively and everytime she sucked on Arshad’s thumb she burst into laughter.

Vidya says, “Fortunately Arshad is a friend. We’ve gotten along well from the time we did Lage Raho Munnabhai together. I don’t know I’d have been able to do a scene like putting my co-star’s finger in the mouth with someone else. That gesture of sucking Arshad’s thumb was so raunchy and sexy, so not me, I couldn’t connect with it all.”

Talking about her character Vidya says, “I play this rustic voluptuous woman. All my weight-loss happened after I did this film. I had to looked filled up for this part.

In Ishqiya everything from the way I wore my saree to the way I looked at men, was alien to me. The role exposed me to a new way of interpreting a liberated woman. My character in Ishqiya may not know about feminism. But she’s truly liberated.”

Lets see if Vidya continuous her Paa magic run in Ishqiya.

Vidya Balan taking tuitions in UP dialect

Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah have been signed for ‘Ishkiyan’ which is being produced by Vishal Bhardwaj and directed by his assistant director Abhishek Chaubey. Apparently, the film has the same UP dialect as in Vishal’s earlier film ‘Omkara’.

Now, for ‘Omkara’, Konkona had been tutored by Vishal to help her deliver her dialogues in UP dialect confidently, Konkona being a Bengali and yes, Konkona went on to win a National Award for her character in ‘Omkara’.

This time Vidya Balan, being a South India, expressed her inability to deliver the lines fluently in that chaste UP dialect. Vishal and Vidya then mutually agreed upon having a special tutor for her to learn the dialect and get well versed with the perfect tone of delivering it.

Vidya’s character in the film has few gray shades and she is supposed to fool the uncle and nephew duo of Naseer and Arshad in it. The film shoot begins from mid October and will be majorly shot in the parts of eastern UP and Delhi.

In Bed with Vidya Balan

She has been under constant attack from the critics for her wardrobe and her dressing sense for long, so she has decided to dress down this time. The international men’s magazine FHM had Vidya Balan looking absolutely sensuous, coy, sexy and inviting under satin sheets for their cover photo-shoot in their latest issue.

“I think what we shot for the cover was really very interesting especially where we used sheets and all and it’s just that there is a great sensuality to it. I always think that minimal make-up and no fuss hair takes away from everything and it’s all about the eyes,” said Vidya.

Photographer Joy Datta says, “She has been in the industry for a while now. She is very confident about her own self. Lot has been said about her dressing and all that but she is very aware about herself now and it’s a new Vidya. And it’s great to be a part of that new state she is in.”

Vidya Balan on vacation

After the release of her latest film, Kismat Konnection, actress Vidya Balan is believed to be taking it easy. The actress is believed to be on a vacation for the next couple of months.

But this is not a planned vacation. In fact, it is a vacation which has been forced on the actress. The actress’s next two films, Chenab Gandhi and Pa, do not begin their shooting schedules till another two months. She also has a Vishal Bharadwaj film, which too will begin shooting around September. Besides these few assignments, Vidya hasn’t signed any other project. So, till the shoot begins, she has no other option but to sit at home and chill. But she is believed to be putting her vacation to good use. Besides making burkha clad trips to cinema theatres to watch her won film, she is also sitting at home and reading scripts. The actress who is now nine films old in the industry, admits that she was quite nervous before the release of Kismat Konnection. It is for the first time that she rung up people asking them about how they liked the film. Maybe this anxiety has something to do with a certain Shahid Kapoor. Incidentally, the director of the film, Aziz Mirza is least bothered by reports on the film, good or bad. He is currently chilling at his farmhouse.

Shahid Kapoor changed his attitude towards Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapoor, said to have enjoyed great rapport during the making of ’Kismat Konnection’, are now not on talking terms.Their friendship ended with the release of the film, which got a lukewarm response at the box office.

’Vidya and Shahid have not talked to each other after wrapping up the shooting of the film,’ said a source close to the production team of the film.’They share a formal relationship and act more like colleagues in an office. The duo were seen at the premiere, but they were hardly talking to each other,’ added the source.

Shahid and Vidya’s pair was much appreciated by the whole team of the film.Even director Aziz Mirza had commented about their pairing. He said: ’I think Shahid and Vidya make a perfect pair. They reciprocate to each other very well and I think they will form one of the best pairs of Bollywood in the future.’

If industry sources are to be believed, it is Shahid who has changed his attitude towards Vidya because he has found a new friend in tennis star Sania Mirza.
