Amidst all the ass-flashing, hot tub hookups, etc., Britney Spears managed to record a couple of songs for her upcoming album.
Her new single, "Gimme More," sounds much like the breathy, dance-track like Brit songs of old. It debuted Thursday night on the website for NYC pop station Z100.
Listener response has been largely positive, said Sharon Dastur, a program director at Z100. "A lot of people automatically had a negative attitude about it before hearing it," she said. "And then the reaction we've been getting, you know, people are so pleasantly surprised by it. You also have the people who have just been cheering on her comeback anyway."
Those who have been eager for her comeback will be pleased to learn Spears' new album will drop Nov. 13.
