Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan and the crew of Raavana had a scary experience while shooting the film in the jungles of Kerala. On the film’s sets, a tusker went out of control and wreaked havoc.
According to reports, Ash and Abhi had a narrow escape, but the mahout was killed after the elephant pierced its tusk into him.
The elephant ran amok and damaged some props and equipment on the sets. Not just that, the animal blocked the road and the crew could not return to their hotel. To ensure the safety of the shooting unit including Ash and Abhi, the forest officials moved the crew to the relative safety of Vazhachal area in the vicinity.
Meanwhile, the tusker was tranquilized and brought under control.
The shooting of ‘Raavana’ has already been disrupted on various occasions in the past, be it due to director Mani Ratnam’s poor health or accidents on the sets. In fact some people in the industry feel that the film is jinxed.
