British band Oasis is notorious for onstage shenanigans, so nobody should have been surprised when singer Liam Gallagher walked off stage last night during a show in London after fans threw beer at him. Blaming "students in stupid pointy shoes," the musician left brother Noel and the rest of the band on their own for half an hour.
Noel told the crowd: "I think someone's in a bad mood," then took to the microphone and the performance continued until Liam returned later in the set.
The tour has already had its share of awkward moments, as Liam has also argued with Noel over his demands for fans to stop waving their arms mid-song, and also walked off stage after experiencing sound problems during the band's headlining performance at Spain's Benicassim festival.
Noel later wrote on his blog: "Benicassim? What a f***ing waste of time! If it wasn't for those bloody kids it would've been a disaster. I really can't say enough about the crowd. Unbelievable behavior! Special mention to the topless girls - what a welcome sight that was!"
