Former "O.C" star Mischa Barton was escorted from her home by police officers on Wednesday for undisclosed medical reasons, causing her to miss the premiere of her new movie Homecoming. The police have since transferred her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she is now being held under involuntary psychiatric hold. Sound familiar? It should, because the same thing happened to Britney Spears not long ago.
There's only speculation as of right now, but Barton has a less-than-perfect past, and is no stranger to medical issues and trouble with the law. She was hospitalized in May 2007 for suspected drug-related reasons, and later did a stint in rehab after being charged with marijuana possession and driving without a license.
