It appears that his good friend Karan Johar has managed to get Shahrukh Khan, the eloquent and vivacious superstar, to finally join a social networking site. While other stars in Bollywood have their own blogs or websites, SRK had till now kept away from it all.
But now he’s apparently joined Twitter. “Being extremely shy, I never thought I would be here (on Twitter). But my friend Karan Johar insisted that I should learn to share my life,” Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page.
Interestingly, the first tweet led to a swarm of fans registering on SRK’s twitter page. At last count, the followers were a little over 11,000.
“Thanks everyone, this is really sweet...didn't expect such a warm welcome. Love to you all,” SRK tweeted later.
Speaking about why he was seen in just one film, Billu Barber, and that too in a small role, in 2009, the superstar wrote: “Injury has kept me away from making more films. Will work my back off to be around more... the shoulder feels strong and so do I.”
In his latest tweet, SRK wrote about enjoying a movie with his kids. “Kids and life calling...watching Tim Burton's '9' with them...last holiday...so up late...catch up later...love to all.”
Shahrukh will soon be seen on the big screen in the Karan Johar-directed My Name Is Khan which is set to release in February.
