Online reports circulated Thursday claiming 'High School Musical' star Ashley Tisdale contracted Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from her rhinoplasty last year. However, her rep, Scott Appel, told People the rumors are "completely untrue."
Internet gossip continued to spiral Friday, with fans posting "Pray for Ashley" YouTube videos. Another website also posted a statement from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, which was later proven to be false.
"We absolutely did not issue a release," Cedars-Sinai spokesperson Simi Singer said to People.
Tidale is currently filming the third movie in the 'High School Musical' trilogy in Salt Lake City.
