Latest Jolie-Pitt baby news

Last week Entertainment Tonight reported that Angelina Jolie had given birth to her twins in France, but other media outlets later released reports with statements from the actress' rep denying the claim.

But Entertainment Tonight continues to stand by their story, and the producer said Monday she wanted to "see how this story plays out" before retracting the report.

For now, the story of the twins' birth has been pulled from Entertainment Tonight's website, but Angelina Jolie is the current most searched actress.

On Monday Angelina Jolie's legal team reached out to various media outlets, informing them that an imposter had been sending out false information under the guise of Jolie's longtime assistant, Holly Goline.

The imposter has allegedly been using a bogus BlackBerry email address to send out false press releases to the media for the past year.

"A random individual has engaged in a scheme to intentionally harm my client and deceive her fans, the public and the media through illegal and tortuous impersonation of Ms. Jolie's long-time assistant, Holly," said a letter from Jolie's attorneys at law firm Lavely & Singer.

"The individual who claims to be, and to whom the media has relied upon as, a 'reliable source' is not my client's assistant, nor does the email address belong to my client's assistant."

Meanwhile, there's a record-breaking bidding war for the first photographs of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's twins, who are reportedly not due until August.

According to TMZ.com, People and OK! Magazine are the only two contenders still standing after exclusive rights to the newborns reached $15 million. The Jolie-Pitts will also likely give the profits to charity, as they did for the first photos of daughter Shiloh.

The bid would surpass the $6 million People offered Jennifer Lopez for photos of her twins, who were born in February. Lopez reportedly was paid less than half as much of the offer.

Dustin Hoffman has said he will give the twins a lifetime supply of toys they are born on his birthday, August 8. The actor and co-star of Jolie's next film, Wanted, let the due date slip at the Cannes Film Festival.

"She's meant to be due on August 19th, and it's my birthday on August 8th," Contactmusic quoted Hoffman. "If she could will that birth to be on my birthday, there's no end the gifts I would give. It's the least she could do."
