DARYL HALL AND JOHN OATES “RETURN TO THE TROUBADOUR,” PERFORMING AT L.A.’s LEGENDARY VENUE FOR FIRST TIME IN 35 YEARS, MAY 22-23

Best-Selling Pop Duo of All Time Will Appear for Two Nights After Receiving BMI Icon Award on May 20

Daryl Hall and John Oates will “Return to the Troubadour,” performing at the legendary L.A. venue for the first time since they first played there 35 years ago.

The shows will take place on May 22-23, two days after the best-selling pop-rock duo of all time are saluted with a musical tribute as BMI Icons at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in L.A., hosted by organization President/CEO Del Bryant and VP/GM Writer/Publisher Relations Barbara Cane.

Limited tickets for the pair’s Troubadour shows are available for $200 apiece at Ticketmaster.com, starting Friday April 11th at 1pm (pst).

In addition to their catalog of chart-topping hits, the concerts at the Troubadour will feature rarely played material from some of Daryl Hall and John Oates’ early albums. The last time the two played the Troubadour was in 1973. It was Daryl and John’s first performance in Los Angeles.

“John and I have a lot of great memories associated with performing at the Troubadour, since it was our first show in LA,” said Daryl. “It’s like going back to where it all began for us. We’ve always had an enthusiastic following in Los Angeles, and this is a chance for our fans to see us up close and personal in an intimate setting.”

Daryl Hall and John Oates’ most recent appearance in the area was last summer, when they were the headliner for two-nights at the Hollywood Bowl. Most recently, Daryl has performed with KT Tunstall and the Gym Class Heroes’ Travis McCoy on his monthly webcast, Live From Daryl’s House (www.livefromdarylshouse.com).

As BMI icons, Daryl and John will join an elite rank that includes the Bee Gees, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Paul Simon, Merle Haggard, Brian Wilson, Willie Nelson, James Brown, Ray Davies, Carlos Santana and Dolly Parton.
