Singer of "Show and Tell" Has Died
Al Wilson, the singer/songwriter of the 1970s, died on Monday at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Fontana, California.
Known for his hit song “Show and Tell,” Wilson passed away from kidney failure at the age of sixty-eight.
Wilson was signed to the label Soul City and released his first single “The Snake” in 1968. In addition to “Show and Tell,” which was number one on the Billboard Top 100 in 1973, Al had several other popular songs including “La La Peace Song,” “Do What You Gotta Do,” “I’ve Got a Feeling (We’ll Be Seeing Each Other Again),” and “Count the Days.”
Wilson’s son said the following about his father:
“He was always singing. He would call me in the middle of the night with a new song that he had written.”
