Woh 44 Days! The event that every cricket fan – and even those not normally interested in the game – has been waiting for a long time is almost upon us. The cash-rich Indian Premier League will commence at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on April 18, and for the next 44 days interest will be riveted on the 59 matches to be contested between eight teams. The participants are a mix of Indian and foreign superstars, recently retired stars and Indian talent of the future; and the tournament which has attracted considerable attention is tipped to attract large crowds, a record TV audience and reap unprecedented revenue.
