Rob Lowe and his wife Sheryl are suing their ex-nanny for violating a confidentiality agreement and defamation of character.
They filed the complaint in a Las Angeles Superior Count on Monday, maintaining that their former employee Laura Boyce had revealed secrets and lies about their family that resulted in emotional distress to Lowe’s family and the couple is asking for $1 million in damages.
The nanny was hired to care for the actors two sons in 2007, and details about the lies she spread have yet to be revealed.
Rob Lowe, a former 80’s Brat Packer, is known for his starring roles in the films St. Elmo’s Fire and The Outsiders and recently for his role in the political television drama West Wing.
