Josh Werkman, The manager of child stars Cole and Dylan Sprouse (aka Zach and Cody from Disney's "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody") has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor child molestation and misdemeanor sale of alcoholic beverage to a minor. He entered this plea in Ventura County Superior Court this past Friday.The twin superstars had NO involvement in the case.
Besides managing the Sprouse twins, Werkman is the CEO of Merimark Entertainment and was the producer on the twins' two recent movies. The calls that were made to Merrimark for comment were not immdeiately returned. Disney Channel representatives had no comment.
Werkman was originally arrested for felony sexual battery by restraint according to law enforcement. Sources told entertainment website TMZ that the alleged victim is a 16-year-old young man. Steve Cron, Werkman's lawyer, says that "Josh admitted he annoyed an individual who is a minor and provided that person with alcohol on the day in question. He acknowledged that he used bad judgment on that occasion and that is why he pleaded no contest to the two charges."
Looks like Werkman hasn't really been living the 'suite' life and probably won't be for a very long time.
