Two actresses often share cold vibes and the buzz about Deepika Padukone not being comfortable with Kareena Kapoor has been fodder for rumour mills. But Deepika has rubbished such grapevine and clarified, “There is no discomfort between me and Kareena”. After giving a flop like Chandni Chowk To China with top actor Akshay Kumar , Deepika will be back on big screen with Saif Ali Khan in Imitiaz Ali ’s romantic flick Love Aaj Kal . The actress feels lucky to be directed by Imitiaz and is full of praise for him. “He understood my approach to a scene. He is a genius who is sensitive towards the actors,” quips the lady. Deepika plays the role of Meera who is today’s girl, a practical as well as a sensitive one.
About Saif, she feels he is a very “natural actor” and admits to having learnt a lot from him. There were stories that Kareena ignored Deepika on the sets of ‘Love Aaj Kal’. But according to Deepika, Kareena was never on the sets when she was shooting. And Kareena too recently said that Deepika has done a good job in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and the role was tailor-made for her. Rumours of a rift between Kareena and Deepika started making rounds when Imtiaz Ali opted for Deepika rather than Bebo, the leading lady of his hit Jab We Met , for Saif’s maiden production venture. Saif had himself said on the record that he wished Kareena was his heroine in ‘Love Aaj Kal’, but Deepika has not taken offence to such comments. The gal’s not insecure.
