The Proposal is about a high-powered book editor Margaret (Sandra Bullock) who faces deportation to her native Canada. Facing blackmail, Andrew agrees to participate. The two head off to Alaska to meet his quirky family, where they are faced with many comedic situations that they must overcome if they want to pull off the scam.
This film is a romantic comedy where Bullock and Reynolds' chemistry is great. The plot of the movie isn't new, but you find yourself not minding much since certain freshness is brought to it by these actors. It is the poster child for a movie about people bringing out the best in one another. Sandra and Ryan have wit and charm that can't help but make you laugh.
