I am totally in thrall when it comes to people who can look at an old item and immediately imagine a new life for it. Maria of Big Tinsel is one of those people (she is also the design mastermind behind another Etsy store Miss Crowland). I was immediately taken with her jewellery only to discover that the majority of it is made from repurposed items from her father's shoe repair shop. How cool, right?

Thanks to Maria's generosity one lucky winner will get to choose between two great Big Tinsel necklaces:

A beauty featuring an amethyst crystal and small turquoise wood beads on an 18 karat gold plated chain.

OR

A comet-inspired necklace featuring recycled beads--one large faceted gunmetal bead and several smaller brass ones--on a vintage brass chain.
