Beautiful Brides: Carolina Marcialis and Princess Victoria

Two things in life I always want to know: what someone named their new baby and what a bride looks like on her wedding day. I posted the other day about Coco Rocha's "I do" look and, as it happens to wedding season, I've found that there are several other celeb brides I can happily photo stalk. Due to this I think you are witnessing the organic birth of a blog semi-series here on Sogni e Sorrisi: Beautiful Brides. If you're at all bored or opposed to the idea please let me know, if not we can eagerly await the wedding dress of Nicole Richie together. In the meantime let's entertain ourselves with two different looks from weekend brides.

Italian soccer star Antonio Cassano married his longtime girlfriend Carolina Marcialis, a water polo player, in Portofino on Saturday. While the Italian national team will surely be a little less bright from a lack of Cassano's playmaking abilities he will be enjoying his honeymoon with his new bride.

Portofino - a truly wonderful place for a romantic wedding

And on to our second Saturday bride...

Super cute and wearing a huge crown Princess Victoria of Sweden married her beau Daniel Westling in Stockholm on Saturday. The bride is the future Queen of Sweden while the groom owns a chain of gyms--he met Victoria when he was training her. The dress was very simple and understated except for the 16-foot train and that crown, which I'm sure must have some historical signifiance, but just makes me marvel at the fact that she can keep herself upright.

I think a very similar style can be seen with these two European brides. (And I thought Carolina was quite understated for a WAG.)
What do you think of these wedding looks? Is there one you prefer?
